This hidden little gem knocked my socks off.
All of the dishes were perfectly cooked, and every bite brought in the perfect amount of flavor.
The atmosphere was unmatched with quiet muffled chatter and a soft electric energy that buzz through the entire restaurant.
Service was incredibly on point, just what you would expect from this chic spot.
We got a good selection from the menu starting with warm olives and a half dozen oysters.
We moved onto the Italian chopped salad, jamon on French bread, and stuffed squash blossoms. The stuffed squash blossoms might have been my best bite of 2025.
For our main dish, we split the Ragu and Cacio E Pepe pasta.
Washing it all back with two bottles of Lambrusco.
What a delight !
When we complained, suddenly they said they could remove it—so clearly it’s not really “mandatory.” They also tried to justify it by saying some restaurants do this, but this was my first time seeing it, and it’s a scam.
And to top it off, the fine print says it’s a service charge, not a tip. Honestly, that’s a joke.
Again ignored. Our friends then entered, and we were seated. But the abrupt rudeness wow.
Then our server a brunette lady, placed our menus down. She then returned a few moments later and practically berated us to order.
Mate we had just sat down like give us a sec. Very pushy.
The food. WOW! COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY! Props to the chefs. The fennel salad so crisp and fresh. The pasta literal perfection. Oysters were fresh, Cant fault the food. You guys are fabulous!
But the absolute rude abrupt service attitude, that lady needs a lesson on how to talk to people. Then bitching about us and pointing at us when we were paying yeah my darling we saw you. Just total rudeness.
For my starter I chose the Steak Tartare and it was very good. I wish there was more bread on the side to spread but the taste and quality of the meat was perfect. For my entrée I chose the grilled Branzino and was very impressed. It was two large pieces with smooth mashed potatoes and herb roasted asparagus as sides. I have been having too many desserts recently so I skipped the option last night but they had chocolate soufflé and a toffee date cake on their menu that I plan to get in the future.
All around a good experience and someplace I would return. The pricing is fair and if you’re a fan of French bistros you will like this one as well. Parking is also very easy depending on the day and time but I had absolutely no trouble for my 7PM reservation.
