Marufuku proudly serves authentic Hakata-style Tonkotsu ramen — featuring a milky and umami-rich broth made from boiling pork bones for long hours, ultra-thin artisanal noodles that match perfectly with the broth, and cha-shu made from specially selected pork.
Rich white chicken paitan ramen with chicken cha-shu is also featured on the menu, along with a variety of mini-sized rice bowls, izakaya-style appetizers, and premium beer and sake.

The moment you walk in, you are immediately drawn by the beautiful dining room, bold, elegant and modern, from the massive decor columns, led lighting, and exotic wood tables, to giant cultural wine barrels, you know you are in for a treat.
Although it was grand opening, all the servers and staff
were well trained, you see the Japanese efficiency, and their performance.
Lets get to the food, we started with sushito peppers, innocent looking, but some of them do pack a spicy punch… next we had ika squid leg karage lightly battered and fried perfectly, last came the gyoza, which were excellent.
My family all ordered variety of their favorite ramen, do not let the bowl shape fool you, they are hearty sized, and you can add extra as traditional ramen shops do. Marufuku ramen is known for their hakata-style tonkotsu broth, you definitely can taste the difference. A good selection of sake, and kids will love the “rainbow” lites drinks
. There probably will be a waiting line, it does move quickly. A great that matches well with daly city’s colder climate.
Highly recommended!

We visited as a group of four and all had a great time. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. I especially enjoyed the Hakata Tonkotsu DX and the Ila Karaage that we shared. The meat portions were generous, perfect for meat lovers like myself, and the broth was rich, flavorful, and satisfying. My friends also loved the chicken karaage and the chicken paitan. Overall, a wonderful dining experience we’d happily return for.

Marufuku finally opened in Serramonte!
We ordered tonkatsu DX, chicken DX, marufuku bites and salad. This is my first time trying their chicken broth ramen, it is pretty thick and flavorful yet not too oily. The soft boiled egg is cooked perfectly. Generous portion of meat, it comes with a separate chicken leg.
The tonkatsu broth is good as usual, the big piece of pork belly is slightly overcooked though.
Marufuku bites is okay, a little too much mayo. Salad is nice and fresh, good to have something refreshing while having ramen.
Interior is nice and cozy. Service is slightly slow right now, hopefully it gets smoother in a few weeks.

First time at this location and it was an instant winner. The karrage was perfectly crisp and juicy, the vegan ramen had a surprisingly rich and satisfying broth, and the mentaiko added that perfect savory kick to round out the meal. The seating area is roomy and comfortable, and even during busy hours the wait wasn’t too long—just enough time to build anticipation without feeling stuck.
Hot food, quick service, and a great overall vibe. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

Great service! There was a line when we went for dinner but it went by fast. Decor is lovely inside for a nice sit-down. Food came out quick & was delicious. One of our meals tho was missing a piece of meat, but it was handled promptly with no issues. Other than that, my husband’s only issue is he felt the portion size was a bit small, but they let you order extra noodles if needed. Definitely would come again to try their other dishes!

Wanted to try something new. Arrived at this location, and we were seated immediately because we went early. We ordered small bites which was recommended by the server: Chicken Karaage and Marufuku bites. Both were yummy however, husband would have preferred the chicken karaage be fried longer. We each ordered: Hakata Tonkotsu Dx(extra topping) and Chicken Paitan Dx (extra topping). For drinks: Sapporo beer. We each finished our noodles but could not finish the chicken karaage small bites. I guess we ordered a little bit too much. Would I definitely come back. Yes, especially since all the servers were very attentive and it’s so easy to look for parking. I probably should have ordered 1 less bite for next time.

Marufuku Ramen opened a new restaurant in the Serramonte Mall. It’s a beautiful store near the center of the mall. There’s plenty of seating.
I had the Hakata Tonkotsu DX, which is Hakata ramen in a pork broth with chashu pork (simmered pork belly), soft boiled egg, green onions, kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts, a thick cube of buta kakuni pork belly, corn, and nori seaweed. It’s a big bowl and plenty to eat.
Kate, our waitress, asked how spicy it should be and I said medium, but it wasn’t very spicy; I’ll ask for spicy next time. Great waiter: she took care of us. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We also had appetizers: A plate of Chicken Karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) and a dish of pot stickers.
We will return again and try more dishes.

Located by the Dick’s Sporting Goods wing of Serramonte and across from the revolving sushi restaurant, the wait for Marufuku on a Sunday evening at 6:30 was 30 minutes. My first bowl of Marufuku ramen was back in 2017 when they opened in Japantown. We finally have a Hakata style ramen restaurant in Daly City nine years later in 2026. My usual order is a Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen $21.50 and an off-menu appetizer, the sizzling chicken leg $8. Their ramen broth can be described as a white colored creamy broth, refined, gentle on the tonkotsu taste where it is not overpowering and a clean aftertaste. I enjoyed it. It doesn’t have that wow factor anymore as the bay area have upped our ramen choices. The piece of pork belly with the DX is about half the size of what it used to be. (Reviewed my old photos to compare.) The chashu pieces were also smaller. I liked how it all fell apart when I picked it up with my chopsticks. As for the chicken leg, this was good. It had a sweet glaze, served on a bed of bean sprouts.
As someone who goes to Japan a lot, this meal was OK. When I was in Fukuoka (Hakata) last year, I discovered Marufuku never had a location there and is a home grown bay area restaurant chain.
Minor nits. Dirty seats. Crumbs from the previous customers were not wiped off the seats. They wiped the tables and slide the food crumbs down to the floor and cushioned seats again the wall. Gnats are hovering over my table. I had to swat them away a few times. It was annoying.

I enjoy their location in Japantown and happy to see they opened at spot at Serramonte – yay for not having to pay for parking lol. They have a queue in front of the restaurant to wait in and the wait time wasn’t bad at all. The line moved fairly quickly. Our server was welcoming and attentive. The food was fantastic as always. Definitely worth checking out if you’ve never been!

Glad this Marufuku Ramen branch opened at Serramonte Mall. It’s convenient for us, and we enjoy both their ramen and appetizers. The setup is different from the Stonestown Galleria branch, which we prefer since you can see the noodles being made fresh, but the taste is almost the same. This time I tried the spicy Tantan, it’s really spicy but tolerable.
Service was fast, and the staff were friendly and smiling. We waited less than 10 minutes to be seated when we came around 2 PM.
