Breakfast of champions!!! Always love when I’m in the city and can stop by for breakfast. My wife had a BEC (bacon, egg and cheese sandwich) with a small cheese grits on the side. My mom had a whole catfish order with fried corn and side salad. (Yes, I ordered a whole catfish order before 10am on Saturday morning.) I had a pantrout breakfast with cheese grits and eggs over light! MAN!!! Everything was ON Point!!! Brandy is always firm, but fair and today she even smiled a couple times! If you go by tell her that her cousin Walter sent you!!! You will not be disappointed for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

It doesn’t look like much on the outside but you go inside and it’s like walking back in time with all the memorabilia on the walls. History wall to wall.Now about this food it was DELICIOUS. I got the catfish plate and a order of fried green tomatoes. My husband got the shrimp poboy and an order of fried green tomatoes. I’m very picky when it comes to my fish and fried green tom. But I never expect it to be so good and fresh. Everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be going back.. plus they have deserts homemade if you have room for it.

Found this place while driving one day. The beautiful vintage sign caught my attention! I love vintage signs and i love fish houses and i think this is perfect timing! So i wasted no time and tried this place. My work has allowed me to be all over Mississippi, small town and big town, i always try the local fish houses and i have tried quite many. But Wow, i can say that this is definitely in my Top 5 list! I mean, most places only have catfish or catfish and pan trout. But Martin’s they have them both plus Buffalo and ocean perch! And their fish is done best, juicy and not over cooked with just the right amount of breading not to alter the flavor of the fish, good crunch and crispiness and almost no trace of grease! Very nice subtle flavor and delicious. Portions are more than enough and right on the dollar! The place is homey and the staff are good people! Been to this place many times and each time is pleasantly good eating. My friends loved it too when i recommended it to them.

I got the catfish dinner. It came with two sides I choose macaroni and fried okra. Both of the sides were pretty good. The fish was nice and hot perfectly seasoned. Nice size portions for your money. The hush puppies were just a ball of fried bread nothing special at all. Cash only and it’s an increased price for farm raised catfish $19 or $16 for imported. Tater sauce is an extra 50 cents but it’s so very delicious.

The food was ok my second visit. It was hot and fresh. The serving size is fair. However, this time the fish didn’t have enough seasoning on it. The prices were slightly higher than my previous visit. The place was crowded but they gave the customers ticket numbers after each order. That made everything run a little smoother and people were constantly in and out. The parking lot is small. You have to literally back out in the street a little just to get out, especially if they are extremely busy. With that being said, I like the food but I believe I’ll try something else on the menu next time.

The staff is very warm and welcoming each time you come. However, the food is not what it used to be. Everything is overcooked and fried in old oil. The fish is not good and lacks seasoning. They’ve switched the original potato salad to something that’s so disgusting. The prices have risen and the portions have decreased. My family and I have been coming here over 20 years and the last 4 visits have been horrible. I pray something changes so that we can come back and enjoy like we used to.

Food here is definitely good but expect to wait 20-30 mins. Parking can be near impossible especially if people are waiting for food. Fish and chips were my go to and they give you a little extra which is always a plus for the price that you pay.

Went here because I’ve heard a lot of talk about it but it didn’t live up to the hype. Fish wasn’t seasoned, no season on fries, and baked beans just tasted like a can of pork and beans. I expected more especially with the nice old decor on the inside. I’ll stick to Harvey’s on HWY 18

Martin’s the best place for fried fish and shrimp. Each order size is enough for two – all food was cooked to perfection- and the fish was fresh and very tasty.
