Walked in at 1:56 PM on a Saturday and sat down within seconds. We got to choose our seats. We were greeted by a server by 1:58 pm. By 2PM we had drinks, chips, and salsa. The please looked clean. No crumbs on the tables. A light bulb was out on the ceiling lights, and everything had been restocked on the tables. Not too busy at this time. I ordered the stuffed sopapilla.
At 2:04 pm the food arrived. Wow. That was quick. Almost as fast as Jimmy John’s.
Sopapilla is fresh made, the Spanish rice was dry. A little too dry. The beans inside with the meat were well cooked. And the tomatoes are diced by hand.
Overall this place is great!

Excellent food from the tajin (sp?) dusted chips, salsa. Both dishes were excellent, hot and flavorful. Portion size was what I would consider a dinner portion – very generous. Server was attentive without being too attentive.

My mom and I found this jewel while traveling through Roswell. Great central location with plenty of public parking across the street. This restaurant has a very welcoming hometown atmosphere. Our waitress was very kind and answered all our questions. The star of the show was the amazing fajitas!! I dare say these are some of the best I have ever had. The flavor was out of this world! My mom is a pretty picky eater but she ate every bite of her stuffed sopaipilla. The chips and salsa were delicious as well. We will definitely be back the next time we travel to Roswell.

This is my usual stop when visiting Roswell. They have excellent New Mexico style food. I usually get the green chili stew, but had the enchiladas today and they were also excellent. Chips are always warm and the salsa is great. I think they have the best sopaipillas I’ve gotten anywhere. Service is fast and food is hot.

Wonderful wonderful food! Authentic, it takes a second but they make it fresh for you and exactly how you would want it! The staff is exceptionally nice.
And they have this a staff member there whose name is Stacy and if you ever run into her she’s probably your best server ever!
The place is very clean, and very hospitable. I would definitely encourage not just suggest, but encourage people to come over here!

My husband and I vacation a lot and always try to visit local restaurants. We came here on a recommendation of one of the locals and we’re so glad we did. The service here is great. Our waitress Glinda was very attentive and super sweet. The food here is amazing. My hubby and I both had the asado and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I also had a cup of pozole and it did not disappoint!! If we are ever in Roswell again, we will definitely be making a spot here.

One of my favorite Roswell, NM restaurants. The vibe is casual and suggests a restaurant that’s been in business for decades. The menu is standard NM fare and it’s been consistent every time I’ve visited. I prefer their red chile to their green. The service is always good and the staff are friendly.

I absolutely cannot stress how amazing the food is at Martin’s Capitol Cafe!! Today, we picked up lunch for 28 employees, and everyone was very happy with our food. I spoke with Marty himself to place the order, and he was happy to help us out. We ordered 1.5 trays each of green chile chicken enchiladas and red beef enchiladas, 30 chile rellenos, 4 dozen red pork tamales, a tray of beans and a tray of rice, and their salsa and chips! (Their green Chile chicken enchiladas are my favorite!)
Everything was hot and cooked perfectly. I really wish I could give them 10 stars. They deserve it!

The food was very good and the service quick. The atmosphere is like a familiar neighborhood place. The type where locals like to go. I had the taco dinner with rice and beans. The price was very reasonable. Fast food costs as much and is far inferior. After you tour the UFO museum head over and grab lunch, It’s worth it. Back in Fort Worth now and I am wishing it was in my neighborhood.
