West Tennessee’s legendary whole-hog BBQ tradition is the cornerstone of Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. Pat Martin learned the art and craft of West Tennessee-style smoke and meat 25 years ago in the tiny town of Henderson, TN before making Nashville his home. It became a consuming passion that eventually led to a business when he opened the first Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint in October of 2006 in Nolensville, Tennessee – just south of Nashville. We come in at 5 am, every day, seven days a week. From the sides to the sauces, everything is made from scratch every single day – You’ll never find a freezer or microwave in our kitchens. But the bar-b-que actually starts a day ahead, as the process for smoking whole hogs simply can’t be rushed.
Big roadhouse-style eatery known for its whole-hog pit-fired BBQ, with chicken, tacos & burgers.

Reviews
Menus are simple and prices are reasonable. The gentleman ringing me up was very nice and pleasant. They were late on my fries and tried to give me a big banana pudding as an apology but I politely decline but I liked that they tried to make it right for the wait. The food was great. I wasnt sure about the sauce so I asked for it on the side. Dry rub was great. The sauce is Tennessee style so its a little sweet, runny and vinegar-y.
I’d probably come here again and would probably recommend.
Were on a business trip to Louisville, went for lunch, got out tummy full meals and also got take out meals.
Chicken tenders were juicy and perfectly fried, Quesadillas were good and there was one house sauce (i forgot the name) it was so yum.
This place felt more commercial however, you order up front when you come in. They don’t have a very large bourbon selection either.
Food was pretty good, the outdoor seating was nice view
Overall didn’t have that Kentucky BBQ home feel, wouldn’t choose it again
