We have passed this place plenty of times and have always wanted to try it, we finally did and were so happy we did! The food was delicious! That staff were extremely friendly! The Christmas decor – great! The outdoor seating is covered and heated and it feels like you’re inside actually! Loved it! The portion sizes were large! We split the lasagna between two people and it was more than enough! We’re definitely going back! My mom had the spaghetti and meatballs and loved it! She also had a Bloody Mary and said it was so good! Kudos to mart Anthony’s! Thank you! We made reservations so we didn’t have to wait for a table. There is valet but we found street parking! There are a couple steps to get into the restaurant and a step down to get to the outside section

Tonight we had the two weekly appetizers (not pictured). Stuffed mushrooms with crab, and shrimp and scallops, perfect. Plus the tortellini, rigatoni Danielo, and Mart Anthony filet (pictured).
Exquisite food and service. Lifelong Chicagoan here. Mart Anthony never misses. Always a fun time here. Also, thank you team for stocking good tequila .

We had an amazing private dinner for 30 out on their patio. 5 course wine paired dinner. Stunning table decor and grilled tomahawks! Thank you so much to the staff, Mike and Marc. We will be back. I was so busy eating, only got a few pics

The best real Italian food I’ve had in many years. The Oysters Rockefeller were outstanding and pure bliss. The Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce and Marscapone Cheese was the best Italian food I’ve ever had. We also sampled the Rigatoni with sausage and peppers and wow it was delicious and authentic. The second generation, old school fine dining Italian is not to be missed. The wine list is excellent. The Cabernet Sauvignon from California was velvety, smooth and left a perfect finish in your mouth. The Tiramisu is some of the best I’ve ever had. Restaurants like this family owned operation don’t exist in Chicago anymore. This is truly a gem with outstanding food, and restaurant.

Nice local family run Italian restaurant on the fringe of West Loop Fulton Market
nice atmosphere and excellent service. The owners take time to ask how your meal and service is during your meal
Really nice patio with removable roof and windows that open and close
Nice meat fish and pasta selections
You can do pasta your way by picking a sauce and pasta
Sauces were very good from bolognese to Arrabiata etc
Minestrone was on watery side did lack that robust vegetable flavor
Meatballs were tender but taste did not stand out good but not memorable

If Frank Sinatra were alive, this is where he’d be dining—Mart Anthony’s is hands-down the best Italian restaurant in Chicago! From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming owner, John, makes you feel like the most important person in the room.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. My favorite dish is the Chicken Saltimbocca, but the sugo and the sausage with peppers are just like my Nana used to make—pure comfort on a plate.
The new outdoor patio is magical, like dining inside a snow globe, complete with heated floors to keep you cozy. The valet guy is incredibly kind, and every server is the epitome of perfection, ensuring an unforgettable experience every time.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian food served with love and old-school charm, look no further than Mart Anthony’s. It’s a true Chicago gem!

Could not recommend Mart Anthony’s more! I’ve spent many lunches, happy hours in the summer, family dinners, birthday dinners (you name it) here!! The family who runs this restaurant are some of the kindest, most professional people out there and I’ve never had a bad dish. The indoor / outdoor patio is the best extension of the restaurant.

I had such a unique and memorable experience here! I had the filet, oysters, mostaccioli, the famous chocolate cake, and several cocktails. I even ordered the lasagna to go so I could have it for lunch the following day, and that was amazing! I was seated at the bar and some other patrons even insisted that I try some of their meals since it was my first time their! The service and recommendations from Dina, Sara, Katie, and Edra was out of this world! I appreciated the welcoming, family-style vibe, still with a very elegant and tasteful environment! 10/10! Do recommend! Make this your next night out! I will return many, many times!
