Had an amazing breakfast at Marshland in Cape Cod! This place is a longtime local classic, and you can really feel the cozy, old-school diner charm. The food was excellent. We ordered pancakes, an omelet, and eggs Benedict, and everything tasted fantastic. Fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, and great flavors all around. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must-visit for breakfast on the Cape!

Most likely will not be returning. First time eating here. You got the pilgrim and the pastrami melt and the mac and cheese. My son-in-law took two bites of the pilgrim and said that it was okay but he had had a lot better and would never order it again. The mac and cheese was full of cheese but yet had no flavor. It had an overpowering macaroni noodle taste it just tasted like cooked macaroni. It was a very large portion we actually ordered it for a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old to split but neither one of them liked it so that didn’t work out. I don’t blame them I tasted it and I didn’t like it either. I got the pastrami melt. It was unusual to say the least. I come from the New York New Jersey area and moved here about 4 years ago. When you see something on a menu under the sandwiches that says melt that means that they put the meat inside the bread and then they either grill it and that means the whole sandwich. That’s what a melt is. This was not a melt. The pastrami looked like it was cooked on a grill and then had the cheese melted on top of it and then was put inside of a potato roll. I’ve also never had a pastrami sandwich on a potato roll, although I have to admit it was on the menu, so I should have known better. The potato roll was very dry I don’t know if it was just old or maybe that’s just the way their potatoes rolls are all the time they’re just dry. The whole sandwich was really dry. There was nothing on it like a Russian or a thousand island dressing or mustard. It was just some dried up pastrami from being on the grill in a very dry potato roll with nothing else, which made the entire sandwich very dry. After eating half of it I did take it out of the roll and got some Russian dressing and just ate it with a knife and fork on my plate. It was at this time that I realized how unbelievably salty the pastrami was. I don’t know maybe this is the way that people eat pastrami melt sandwiches up here. I have to admit this place has some pretty good reviews so I would suggest just not getting the pilgrim or the pastrami melt.

This is a little gem of a breakfast place we discovered this year! The food is great and portions are very generous. Great value for what you get. Waitresses are fast on their feet, and the cooks crank out the meals quickly.

We did not have breakfast but we did eat wings and they were delicious. We got a nice chocolate brownie with ice cream at the end and it was delicious!

Only Request – We would request this place to serve breakfast items all day long! Travelers like us miss the mornings in commute and would love to try it in the afternoons! Kids would specially!

Great old school breakfast spot. Menu has everything you need to start the day, including coffee that flows quickly. The lobster Benedict was solid. Plenty of big chunks of meat, with perfectly poached eggs and buttered English muffin. Home fries crisp. Wish I knew about this place years ago.

My favorite breakfast place on the Cape for many years — excellent menu and everything I’ve ever ordered here was well prepared, flavorful and abundant. Lunch: The clam chowder is really terrific, and also can recommend the cheddar burger (they don’t skimp on the beef!) The bakery next to the main dining room is also excellent if you want to pick up coffee and pastry.

Greeted by a friendly hostess, just inside the door 2 couples before us.
Five minutes.., Sat down received drink orders promptly after seated. Ordered food. All seats full. Received food in reasonable time. Asked if we needed anything 3X during meal. Special board looks tasty. Noise level reasonable for size and space, you can carry on a conversation. Very efficient turnover. Reasonable prices, food excellent quality and I recommend coming with an appetite.

Nice diner style eatery with plenty of parking, good service, and very good food. The omelets are fluffy and large. Actually enough to share. I had one with corned beef hash and American cheese. It was very good. Great coffee as well! We went there twice during our three day visit to Sandwich.

Marshland is a great local casual spot for a nice home cooked meal. We had not been here in some time, since it can get super busy in the summer. But this time of year there is no long line to get in, so we only waited a short time for a booth. The lunch counter had plenty of seating but we were in the mood for a booth. I ordered the meatloaf plate and my hubby got the Schrod. Food arrived promptly and was nice and hit and fresh. The meatloaf was a super generous portion. So much I took half home. It was great and served with a yummy mushroom gravy, which I requested be served in the side. But the highlights of the meal – for me – were the absolutely fresh and perfectly cooked green beans and mashed potatoes! As good as you can get! My hubby said his schrod was very good, but not one of the best he has had on the Cape. He, too, loved the sides and ate all the rest of the gravy, pronouncing it “addictive!” We cleaned our plates for sure. Service was fast and very friendly and there is a great on-site bakery too. A must visit in the Sandwich area!

If you are looking for a sandwich in sandwich you simply cannot pass this place up for your consideration. With a great selection of amazing sandwiches and home style meals. Don’t forget to try the chowder! Very creamy and has soft clams.
Then finish with amazing pastries too.

We lucked out and got counter top seats for 3 right as we walked in. Others waited for booth space.
Coffee was really good as was the service.
Clam Chowder was excellent and I finally tried a cold lobster roll. It was good. The bun was amazing, fries amazing. Every time I try lobster I always wonder what the big deal is? But that’s just me. So expensive and I guess I just prefer fish but the portion was generous and I ate most of it. Everyone was happy with their meals. Coffee was very good and the baked goods looked wonderful but was too full from the lobster roll to have any.
