The best authentic Mexican restaurant in Norristown and the surrounding area. The staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is lively and the restaurant is clean. I have been here many times and the quality of the food is always consistent – fresh and perfectly seasoned. Portions are generous. The complimentary chips and salsa bar are delicious. It is worth walking around the market afterward and purchasing some pastries to go. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful lively and clean establishment. It is a grocery store and restaurant combined. The breads were just being loaded as I arrived and smelled amazing. The desserts were also being loaded and the fruits for the drinks were also being washed and looked great too! The produce and other items in the store also looked fresh.

The staff and servers were all very kind and patient and worked very hard to make sure no one was waiting around which I appreciated. The restaurant food was tasty and fresh.

There was only one downside. I had hoped arriving early also meant fresh chicharrones but I calculated that wrong and it seemed like they had leftovers out instead of a fresh batch. I bit the bullet and bought what they had out but learned my lesson and next time I will come later and wait for a fresh batch since the one I got tasted a bit stale and even soapy I had to throw them away.

We recently visited Norristown Pennsylvania and this was one of the highly recommended spots to eat. The authentic Mexican food was absolutely delicious and on top of that they have a grocery store and bakery all in one spot. We will most definitely be visiting again. I also got a little book bag that was made in Mexico super cute.

The food here is very nice and look authentic even though it was my first time eating it. The staff members are also nice and chill. It’s a great restaurant to visit after visiting PennDOT.

You gotta check this place out — it’s amazing! They’ve got all your favorite Mexican goodies and the restaurant vibes are on point. The food is good, but mine came out a bit soggy (maybe just my picky taste ). Service though? 10/10 — everyone was super nice and polite. Totally recommend if you miss real Mexican flavor ❤️

As a person with celiac this place was amazing and the flavors hit. Hot chips served with a smokey bean sauce and a salsa bar for every palate. I had the birria tacos and they were the best I have ever had. The cons some was rich with smoked chili’s. It’s was an amazing experience. The market and bakery are beautiful. Be prepared for higher than average prices. It was well worth it! An amazing spot for gluten free food.

El Primo Produce has a bakery and grocery section upfront and a large restaurant section in the back – the restaurant is next to the DMV in Norristown and its unassuming – so you might miss it! Its definitely worth stopping by for the grocery store and also for the restaurant! Food is delicious – portions are huge! Service is fast and friendly. Definitely a great place for delicious Mexican food!

Probably the best Mexican food around this area. The food is very delicious. The portions are very nice for the price that is being paid and the waiters are friendly. They bring out a small free appetizer to start the meal. Would recommend to anyone. After a nice meal I like to walk around the store or go to the goodies spot up front. They sell delicious pastries and treats. The chicharron (fresh) is delicious, fresh tortillas too, and sweet bread. Love coming to this place so much. My husband and I made it a little routine to eat here once a week as a treat to ourselves.

First time visit for early dinner. Enjoyed the market and bakery while waiting in line to be seated. Staff provided complimentary drinks and oderves while we waited and we ended up sharing a table with couple in front of us. I liked everything about this place. It was much, much more than dinner. It was a fun event in a festive atmosphere with a great, imaginative menu. Can’t wait to return with friends to share the experience.
