Came here to celebrate a birthday. First off super cool interior and vibe inside. Happy hour deals were great. Good oysters and the hush puppies were phenomenal. Also tried the elote corn, fried chicken and summer salad. Really impressed with the food and service was excellent! Also a beautiful interior, so definitely a great date spot! Definitely worth a visit!

Our dinner was absolutely amazing! We started with oysters and got the seafood boat with more oysters, clams, smoked fish dip, ceviche, and crab dip. I tried the shrimp appetizer, gumbo and fried chicken. The gumbo was out of this world! I cannot wait to come back!!

Came to the Marsh House for our anniversary dinner. My husband and I ordered the fried green tomatoes for our appetizer, I had the seared scallops and he had the fried chicken for the main course, and we shared the Tennessee whiskey cake for dessert. Everything was just ok. My favorite dish was the fried green tomatoes with the chili bacon jam. They were well cooked, but I wouldn’t say they were particularly memorable. The whiskey cake was fine, however the tuile on top was rather thick and more hard than delicate or crispy, so much so that it flattened the cake underneath as you tried to break through it. Unfortunately my husband’s chicken was extremely overcooked and quite dry and the side of potatoes were oily. Overall each dish was beautifully presented, but this was definitely a case of style over substance. The flavor and execution just wasn’t really there. At this price point I definitely expect a more refined product and have had much better at other establishments in Nashville and elsewhere.

Overall not a bad restaurant. We tried their dinner menu and breakfast menu while staying at the Thompson hotel. They were very accommodating for breakfast and were able to squeeze us in. Breakfast menu has a lot of good choices but decided to try their vegetable omelet. Very good with plenty of vegetables inside. Their dinner menu is where I feel they lost a star. My wife tried their broiled fish and I decided to try their hot chicken entree. For appetizers we both had beet salad and a pear salad. Both salads were excellent and their drinks were amazing. My wife’s fish was slightly overcooked on the outside, although inside was much better. Chicken tasted great but the portion was just too big. You get a half chicken on your plate. Not something I was expecting and wish the portion was much smaller. I would definitely would be willing to give them a try again.

Can’t say enough great things. Fantastic oysters. Plentiful mimosas. Great service staff. Will happily make this a constant on my trips to Nashville.

We had an early lunch and was very happy we chose Marsh House. Some kind of special sandwich with fried bologna and a blue cheese wedge salad. Our server (Jack) was a great guy and very helpful. Great place highly recommend it.

Dined with a group of 13 in the private room for a business dinner. The apps (BBQ Gulf Shrimp – outstanding; Broiled Oysters – small, lacking flavor), dinner was well prepared and excellent flavor. I’d have to say that service was slow, food prep was delayed and despite the course, staff could not figure out their numbering system and delivered nearly every course to the wrong person. Overall a good meal with good friends, but on my next trip, I would not seek out the Marsh House.
