The Salmon Benedict had a perfectly running egg yolk. With the hollandaise sauce, the smoked salmon, and the bread, every bite was so creamy and delicious. The potatoes, bell peppers, and onion all had a great sear. The salad had just the right amount of vinaigrette dressing.
The chicken sandwich was extremely satisfying. The bread was slightly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The labneh and Gruyère cheese added a velvety sauce for the well seasoned, juicy chicken, and the tomato and lettuce added some additional crunchy texture to each bite. The fries were seasoned well and had the right amount of crunch to them.
We walked in from the wrong door and were welcomed by two large and genuine smily employees, on our way to the friendly host.
We were seated in no time at a beautiful and cosy table that was a fit for the romantic atmosphere we were looking for. Service was super attentive, our waters were refilled immediately, the team was highly engaged and visible, and the dishes were flying in so efficiently although being a packed Saturday night.
The menu has something for everyone and not eating seafood is not an issue. We got Beef Tartar (one of the best I’ve had), Artichoke Salad (very good), Branzino served on a base of pretty interesting base, and delicious Veal Pasta. For desert, I highly recommend the crunchy Chocolate Mouse.
Lastly, they remembered we said we’re celebrating a birthday and brought the desert with a candle without even asking. A tight ship, indeed.
Even on a freezing February day, the warm, inviting atmosphere made it feel cozy and intimate. The food was simply incredible — the Mediterranean meatballs were 10/10, tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with the roasted pepper-tomato sauce and labneh. The lobster roll with caviar was luxurious but not over the top, and the steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. We ended on a high note with the chocolate mousse with hazelnut — a perfect finish.
The staff was attentive and helped us pick wines that paired beautifully with the dishes. Everything felt thoughtful, elevated, and just right for a special meal with someone you love.
If you want a warm, cozy, and elevated brunch experience in Chelsea, Marsanne NYC is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Went with some friends in August – just missed the RW deal but glad we came by anyways. For one thing I was very intrigued by the glowing reviews on Google. Ultimately, enjoyed the food, service was stellar, and ambiance was solid.
We ordered quite a bit and my main takeaways were that the dips were fire, supposedly (according to my friends) the pastas were delicious, the seafood dishes were OK imo, and the desserts were awesome (our server even gave us an extra one, which was so nice)! Would come back to try some of other options on the menu.
Drinks:
– Wine and cocktails (solid)
Apps:
– Pita Bread and 5 Dips (so good)
Mains:
– Halibut (decent)
– Pappardelle (a bit on the bland side, not worth imo)
– Fusilli (apparently was quite good)
– Zucchini pasta (a special at the time, apparently was really good)
Desserts:
– Chocolate mousse (awesome)
– Peach cobbler (not for me, but friends loved)
The service and team were amazing. Super knowledgeable about the food and restaurant concept (French Mediterranean). Super friendly.
The food was absolutely delicious. We did the prix fixe 3 course lunch which was about $35 each.
Every bite of every course was absolutely delicious. I’m not going to recommend any particular plate as each was incredible.
Will 100% go back here every time I’m in NYC.
As for the food, the appetizers were tasty, though the portion size and price didn’t quite match. The pasta was the highlight of the meal — truly well done. The burger was average, and the octopus was good but overpriced. Unfortunately, the scallops and the fish were disappointing. It seemed like they might have been cooked in old oil, giving them a greasy flavor rather than a fresh one, which was a letdown.
Overall, the service was outstanding, but the food was inconsistent, especially toward the end of the night.
Mediterranean restaurant as a large group for lunch prix-fixe. There are two options to choose from. The atmosphere was lovely and the space felt bright and welcoming. Our waiter was extremely attentive and handled our sense of humor very well, which we really appreciated.
The majority of us started with the bread and dips, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful–definitely a highlight. It’s a very generous portion. I ordered the Tuna Nicoise Salad, which was a little salty but good. There were quite a few upcharges so definitely check the menu.
All and all great experience and looking forward to going back and trying their dinner menu.
