This is a great little Wessex sleeper!
Cozy and intimate place to enjoy Italian favorites and rub elbows with the table next to you.
Do not pass on the seafood salad and the shrimp hotties.
Had the tripe special, and it was right on–no filler, just tripe and sauce, AND a considerable portion.
Double cut pork chop is a perennial favorite.
As mundane and pedestrian as it is, the chicken parm is not your standard pizzeria issue. The moist cutlet is not too thin, nor too thick, a rich sauce and covered in well-browned melted mozzarella; one of the finest renditions I’ve ever enjoyed. Spaghetti could have been taken out of the water a minute or two sooner.
Service is diligent and attentive, even when packed. Make a reservation.

I enjoy going to Marras when I’m in town. Outside of spending time with my family, going to Marras is my must-have! I love the #10 sandwich personally, but my family members also enjoy their sandwiches, so I usually stop in to pick up sandwiches for all of us. Thank you, Marras for your consistency, quality, and deliciousness of your food. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Marra’s is consistently excellent. A staple right in the roseland center. Marra’s is reliable and always gives you a quality meal. Whether you sit down for dinner inside or during the warmer months right outside on their patio, or you take out, you’ll always enjoy. Great Italian food and have been coming here for years and never had an issue.

This was by far the most disappointing Chicken Savoy we’ve ever had. The dish was overly dry and drowned in balsamic vinegar, making it far too sweet. When we raised our concerns, the waitress was dismissive and showed no interest in resolving the issue. She simply claimed that their Chicken Savoy is “just like the one from Belmont Tavern”, but it fell far short of that comparison this used to be one of our local places to go, but sadly we won’tbe coming back!

I like the vegetarian rigatoni customized pasta .You can add toppings of your choice. Also ordered the eggplant parmigiana which was wrapped in a sandwich. It was tasty

The order was quick to arrive and freshly made . Parking is in the backside of the main entrance which is bit difficult to discover unless you’ve visited here before .

The prices were also very economical to the area.

Overall , very good experience , quite filing too when it comes to the quantity of the food

Sandwiches were sub-par, got #4, and I personally would not recommend putting broccoli rabe in a sandwich. The bitter taste is tasted throughout the sandwich, better as a side. And the salad was awful. I think it was the Anthony salad. The balsamic vinaigrette was so strong, I was coughing on the vinegar so many times. Honestly the most disappointing italian joint I’ve been to, in a long time.

The waiter did all the things together, cutting bread after touching the money without washing hands, talking without wearing mask. Neither did the other staffs there wear mask.
We ordered 3 dishes. The Veal Marvin Breaded tasted worst, not veal taste (not like meat) at all but the flour everywhere. Fish of the Day was the most expensive but the fish was no taste and the shrimp was the star in this dish. The only good thing was the appetizer which was Zuppa Di Clams – Red, no sand inside.
Overall, I will not recommend this restaurant at all.

Tried a new lunch spot hoping to find a go-to for a good sandwich or salad, unfortunately, I didn’t find either. The food I brought home was super bland. The chicken cutlet and grilled chicken were both overcooked and underseasoned, and the salad vinaigrette was one of the saddest I’ve had—thin, watery balsamic mixed with vegetable oil, definitely not olive oil. The mozzarella tasted like it came from a bulk supply store, and the baguette felt more industrial than fresh. Italian food is all about the ingredients, and this missed the mark on pretty much every one.

Pretty pitiful ham, salami and prov sub. No ham whatsoever, the thinnest layer of salami and a good portion of cheese. Overall a fail. Bread is good and toppings are good but with no substance…well, it’s a ripoff! I know everyone is reeling from Covid but make the sandwich since I worked hard too during and after Covid and was really looking forward to a nice sandwich. That’s the reason there are 2 stars and not just one. I will try again to see if you can redeem yourselves but customers should be on the lookout since this is not a crowd pleasing sandwich.
