So glad we found them. This is the same Marmalade that was in Beaufort but just moved over the bridge to Morehead. Their pastries are wonderful and we just had a breakfast with their quiche and brioche French toast. It was awesome and will be back. The grits with the quiche was amazing and I’ll get a bowl on my next visit. Cannot wait to try their lunches next. Back and got the grits again. Brought friends and their converts as well.

Really wanted to love this local place but the food and service were just not good. Cup charge for a cup of water even with 2+ breakfast orders. The staff absolutely has time to walk orders out to customers but stands at the counter and shouts. A couple of ladies sitting by us didn’t hear and nobody even stepped out to look for them. We had to ask for our cinnamon roll to be heated because it was rock hard and cold. Breakfast sandwiches were almost intolerably salty. Just a rough experience.

Excellent new addition to downtown MHC. We got the breakfast quesadilla and couldn’t resist getting the massive cinnamon roll. Don’t recommend for anyone that lacks discipline and will fold like a cheap suit to the dictums of a sweet tooth—the pastry display will make decisions for you. 10/10 will continue to go back.

Great quality food! Much better than a diner breakfast. Great atmosphere and plenty of seating. French toast is incredible!

Amazing experience ordering a custom wedding cake from Marmalade Bakery. We had a reception at the aquarium and wanted an underwater whimsical cake. She incorporated our cake toppers and added flowers that matched our table arrangements. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was the best wedding cake flavor I’ve ever had. Would absolutely order custom cakes from them again. Two thumbs up!

Took nearly an hour to get one plate of food and a microwaved cinnamon roll. The food was not great. 45 minutes after I put my order in they came and asked me how I wanted my eggs. Plate was scrambled eggs, grits, a sausage patty, one slice of toast halved, and tater tots with barely melted cheese on them. Portion was very large though.

Got the bacon and cheese scone, and an iced coffee with honey drizzle on top (it was one of their signature coffees). Both great! Good atmosphere and large space. Definitely recommend and will be back.
update: came back again today. Got a build your own breakfast sandwich on a croissant and it was a 10/10. My son loves their cheese grits. The peppermint mocha was the best mocha I’ve ever had. Zero misses with this spot. Probably my favorite breakfast place in town!

Love this place, whether looking for incredible pastry or a savory breakfast. Had the quiche of the day with grits today and it was delicious, grits full of great cheesy, slight spice flavor, needs no extra seasoning! The quiche was creamy, flaky and had well balanced flavors. Atmosphere is cute, calm and relaxed fitting perfectly into the Beaufort life. Make sure to stop by on your visit to the beautiful Beaufort!

Stepped into Marmalade Bakery on Arendell St and was instantly charmed by the cozy, bright vibe. I started with a dreamy Dubai chocolate filled croissant—flaky, rich, chocolatey, and totally unforgettable. Followed it up with their breakfast sandwich, which was next‑level delicious and overly generous with all the fillings. The ham & cheese omelet – fluffy, cheesy, and comforting in all the right ways. But let’s talk about that crème brûlée French toast— caramelized top, custardy center… totally swoon-worthy. Cute space, friendly folks, and pastries that feel like a hug. Already planning my visit.

Marmalade Cafe & Bakery is a charming spot in an old house in downtown Beaufort.
Ordered the Wade Sandwich, which has bacon, avocado, and turkey with cilantro crema on toasted multi grain bread and the jalapeno pimento cheese grits to share as a light lunch.
Tasty food. The sandwich was spectacular!
Cute setting out back with lots of flowers, but very loud with lots of staff coming and going.
Worth a stop with lots of baked goods and breakfast options, too.
