It was fine. Food was a little slow coming out. I had the mozzarella bites and Ruben sandwich. Both were okay. I would not reorder either next trip. I was told the friend halibut is very good. But I didn’t try it. They do have TVs and games here. Which is very rare in this town.

Made it here one night for dinner based on suggestions by family. Overall, the food was tasty but not very adventurous. I was excited to see the mushroom wild rice soup on the menu so I started with that. It was very good, but it was a little bland. My husband had the haddock chowder and he said it was amazing. It was loaded with chunks of haddock! For the meal, he had the popcorn shrimp entree. The shrimp were cooked just perfect. I had a steak quesadilla. There was plenty of food and it was very tasty but once again I think the flavors could be a little more bold. I did get onions and mushrooms added to my quesadilla, the mushrooms were not as savory as I would’ve hoped. Our son had the chicken fingers and fries and he enjoyed that very much. We all had a pleasant time. I would definitely like to give this place another try and maybe try one of the bigger entrées… I remember seeing something that look like steak tips or something like that.

Marlitini’s Restaurant is your typical coastal type restaurant in Blue Hill, Maine. I frequent that place often for these specific reasons that make them stand out from any restaurant I’ve ever been at. I’m greeted immediately when I walk through the door, it took only a couple times for me to go there for the bartender to know exactly what I wanted to drink, and despite the food choices not standing out with variety, the quality of food is always to notch. If you’ve had a great experience with one dish, you can leave and come back a month later to the same expectation or better. They go way above to make sure you are taken care of and exceed expectations. Jessie is frequently the bartender there and its refreshing to see when I walk in a smile on her face as she’s already starting to pour my drink. If she can’t get to me, she does what most people fail to do in the service industry now and acknowledges me confirming what I want to drink and saying she get right to me. Ed is also a huge part of this restaurant and exceeds most people’s standards when it comes to dining at a restaurant. Knowing that my partner and I like to sit at the bar but was unfortunately full when we arrived last time, he made sure to let the bartender know we were waiting for a seat and then he proceeded to sit us down in a closed off area getting our drinks orders (which jessie was already doing) and took our food orders right then. The food came out shortly after which was surprising since the place was packed. Even though we didn’t get our seats at the bar, the staff extended themselves to ensure our experience was the best, which I see time and time again done for other customers. Not being from that area originally, I feel like I have always belonged there.

I cannot say enough about this friendly restaurant that has been a business for 25 years and continues to offer out outstanding, affordable food. This is a small town with not a lot of dining options. There’s a fancy place up the street and a kind of an in between place further down the street but this is where local people come to eat. No pretension. Just really good food. And a friendly serving staff. We had the special tonight, which was their bourbon beef tips, pulled pork and incredibly favorful mashed potatoes. Food was so good. The drinks were generous and top notch. The strawberry shortcake, and I’m not kidding about this might be the best strawberry shortcake I have ever tasted. if you’re in this area, you owe it yourself to stop. Friendly place. Delicious food. You won’t be disappointed

It’s the local spot to get a nice meal and a beverage. Almost everybody knows your name if you are local. I had a mushroom Swiss cheese burger. Tasted good and hit the spot. I wish the menu wasn’t carved in stone. A little more variety both in the regular menu and specials would really help.

This was one of my favorite places to come to every year on my birthday. This year when we came we had the WORST service we have ever experienced. The waitress was down right rude, condescending and never checked back on the table. She took our orders and messed them up, was snarky when we asked for items we didnt get. I personally won’t be back just because of your waitress. She needs to be let go and find a job that doesnt consist of customer service. Younger lady

A casual bar and grill with tasty comfort food. Second visit: philly cheese steak and fries so amazing – meat is tender and great spices. We ordered a cheese quesadilla but took it home for the next day. I had the blackened haddock Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries – such an excellent idea and combination of flavors. The haddock was a good size and I took half of it home as leftovers. My friend had the philly cheese steak sandwich and french fries. The meat had excellent flavor. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs to go from the specials menu. The parking lot had space for us, but was quite full on Wednesday evening! Now I know why- good food. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table.
