Very good experience. This place was recommended by my daughter while we were out of town and the food was very delicious and my wife and I tried goat for the first time. My jerk fried rice was amazing. The spice was not too overpowering so much as to not taste the food. I wish this place was closer.

I really wanted jerk pork but didn’t want to drive way to Tampa today for some so after doing a little research I found this spot and they did NOT disappoint ! I took an hour drive to get here & I left super excited to eat my food. Ms.Caroline is so sweet & she made sure everything was perfect for me I really appreciate that. Also I’m very picky when it comes to jerk pork & I only go to 1 spot for that but it’s way in Tampa so I’m glad to have found this gem. Great food great prices I’ll definitely be returning .

I’ve been to Marks quite a few times and the food has always been phenomenal. Today it seemed to be reheated. The oxtails (saucy but some tough and dry spots), rice (mushy and had a refrigerated taste), plantains (dry). The cabbage was fine. If I didn’t live an hour away I would have taken it back because we bought 2 oxtails plates and it wasn’t cheap. I also didn’t get my pepper sauce!

Heard about this place through a friend. We stopped in today. So glad we did. This is a small restaurant/bar. We were greeted warmly, and menu was explained. We ordered a LARGE Jerk Chicken, white rice, green banana and dumpling along with a beef patty. Absolutely Delicious!!! Large fed both till we were completely full. Highly recommend.

Met the owner Mark while getting food, super friendly person. The food portions are absolutely huge, and I personally really like the plantains. I’d say the jerk chicken could be less dry, but the brown stew chicken was absolutely amazing. They give a discount to UCF students, and I would definitely come here again. The portion sizes are HUGE.

Oh my gosh, this is the best Jamaican food we’ve had in Florida! The oxtail was absolutely delicious, and the curry chicken was so tender it fell off the bone. The mac and cheese was also very nice, and the cabbage was very delicious. I give it a perfect 10 out of 10!

biggest mistake I made was walking through the door today. When I entered, a woman with glasses greeted me with an unwelcoming demeanor. I should have turned around right then and there. During our conversation, she was not only unhelpful but also extremely sarcastic. When I asked if the mail had come with plantains, her response was dripping with sarcasm, and I definitely should have walked out. However, I decided to give the place a chance due to the positive reviews. After trying the food, I regretted that choice—I would have been better off eating rocks off the ground!EVERY bite was filled with bones and was crunchy to the point that I nearly choked. While the flavor was there, I just couldn’t enjoy the meal. I won’t be returning; the atmosphere was unfriendly, and the place was almost empty, which says a lot.

We just had a fantastic lunch at Mark’s! It was one of the best Jamaican food that we’ve ever had: generous portions, full of flavor, meats falling off the bones with great condiments and side dishes. We couldn’t finish everything but we were handed takeaway containers and we can’t wait to finish it all at home. Everyone was very friendly and diligent, and the restaurant had a positive community atmosphere.
