I absolutely love Market on South!!! The food is flavorful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly. Once you get inside the restaurant you’ll learn about the multiple vegan options of food. There’s a variety of options to choose from: Breakfast Sandwiches, Waffle Breakfast, Pasta Alfredo, and delicious sweet treats such as pastries, cookies, and ice cream. I love the fact that I can come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and the food is excellent every time! They have a place for children to play and they have board games as well. Bonus it’s family owned so you’ll get a chance to support local and a family business! If you’re looking for great vegan options with flavor be sure to visit Market on South!

This has probably been my favorite vegan spot I’ve visited in Orlando. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was awesome, and the food was still somehow BETTER than all of that. It was the perfect recipe for the best vegan brunch. Looking at food brought to other tables made me jealous that I didn’t order it, and excited to come back and try more!

Market On South has definitely upped its game since transitioning to new management. The space feels refreshed and welcoming, with updated displays, a clean interior, and a nice variety of items to browse. It’s obvious that folks behind the scenes are working to improve the overall experience. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful ready to greet, point out products, and make the shopping experience smoother than I’d seen previously. It’s a solid spot for grabbing essentials, snacks, or discovering interesting local goods. One area that could use improvement: the selection is better, but there are still some gaps, especially if you’re looking for specialty or very fresh produce. Also, a few items felt slightly pricier than comparable stores, though given the upgrades and ambience they’re offering, the value is still reasonable. Overall: Market On South is on a positive path and absolutely worth checking out under the new management. With a few tweaks, it could become one of the top go-to spots in the neighborhood.

In my memory, they served the best vegan food I ever ate in my now decade-plus time of being vegan.
I ate their 3 times, now over 5 years ago. I think far too much about the place they hold in my mind. Where they that good? Would I still enjoy them to that degree if I visited today?

I don’t know the answer to that. But I do know the food looked fabulous and tasted even more so. Three times we ate there in one week, and I wish it had been twice as often. Great vibes, great staff, awesome food…

I recently visited this place from out of town (TX) loved it. I really really liked the variety of sweets they had. My favorite is the lemon/citrus one.
I also tried food from a lo vegano and it was great, although a bit too salty.
Costumer service was awesome, everyone was super nice. i think it’s a great idea to have 3 different vegan companies under the same room- as there is a lot more to choose from.
I have no idea about the parking situation since I uber there.

Absolutely the best crossaint sandwich and waffle I’ve ever had! The owners were phenomenal! The Cuban steak, rice and plantains were out of this world! The guva pancakes were they best ever!

We finally made it back to Market on South again.

It basically encompasses a couple of separate little vegan restaurant options, a little like an indoor public market with multiple kiosks – but without the typical degree of separation …

It currently appears to have been simplified and include just two options now: Vegan Scoops and A Lo Vegano Orlando which is a vegan Cuban restaurant.

We tried the breakfast croissant sandwich, personally too fake meaty and egg like for my taste. Although the SO apparently loved it. (I prefer tofu, seitan, or something more along those lines so it probably depends on your tastes.)

We also tried the Loaded Fajita Steak & Tostones. The “steak” was some sort of processed mushroom based option that looked pretty realistic, it was chewy, well crisped, and a little dry. Personally a little too on the realistic side for my taste, but the SO loved it too. I did appreciate that it was crunchy on the ends. A bit of some fajita veggies and a strong herb rich sauce over fried plantain bites wrapped it up. It was interesting to try, and pretty good, although not really my cup of tea.

We also grabbed an order of Yuka Fries, which were really good, crunchy and nicely done and tender on the inside. They came with a tasty sauce, although not nearly enough sauce for the serving size.

Then there was Vegan Scoops with ice cream and baked goods for dessert.

Previously it Included The Kind Cleaver, Retro Roast, Main House Market, and Vegan Scoops.

It has a little bit of a health food store vibe with a few small odds and ends for purchase, plus a little bit of an eclectic old fashioned vibe … But it has a nice clean, bright, pleasant environment with great food.

The Kind Cleaver had some awesome Seitan sandwiches – their Rueben had a nice balance of flavors with plenty of sauerkraut. Plus large portions for leftovers, granted we weren’t super hungry when we came in, but still good sized.

I wish we had a Kind Cleaver or the whole market nearby and highly recommend stopping in. This is one place I would absolutely go out of my way to stop at again.

While Kind Cleaver appears to be closed for now as a restaurant, it sounds like they are selling their seitan to another vegan restaurant an hour or so east. I was really craving one of their sandwiches, hopefully again one day.

The girl was too stunned to speak. The food is made with true and genuine LOVE, you can taste it the flavor, the quality, the environment. It’s so hard to find a place like this. My heart and tummy are full! Thank you!

This place is an absolute gem and easily one of the best vegan spots I’ve ever experienced. Their sunny side up vegan eggs are pure magic—rich, perfectly cooked, and so close to the real thing that it blew my mind. The attention to detail in every dish is incredible. Both the indoor and outdoor seating create a vibe that’s impossible to resist—think laid-back yet stylish, perfect for a casual brunch or a
just a quick stop to get vegan desserts. The service was next-level too—warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. If you’re after elevated vegan cuisine, this spot is a must-visit. My non-vegan friend was blown away and couldn’t believe how on point the veganized dishes tasted. I live in Miami but I cannot wait to go back to Orlando to eat here again.

Market on South is a collection of vegan quick service eateries.
We visited Vegan Scoops.
The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was casual but had a farmhouse chic feel. There were a few tables to sit inside and about 4 picnic tables outside.
The treats were fantastic. We ordered MANY. My favorite was the pancake plate and lemon berry cake.
We would definitely return.
