Cathédrale is a French-Mediterranean restaurant by Tao Group Hospitality Chef/Partner Ralph Scamardella, in collaboration with Executive Chef Jason Hall (formerly of acclaimed restaurants like Gotham Bar & Grill, Anthos and Craft). The menu brings elemental, ingredient-driven cooking to the forefront, evoking the grandeur of the past while remaining contemporary in its execution. Dishes put pleasure over spectacle, taking inspiration from Southern France with traces of Italy, Spain and Greece as seen in Ribeye Steak au Poivre, Chickpea Socca Pancake and Bouillabaisse ‘Tetou’ for the table, as well as Baked Red Snapper Provençal and Rotisserie Chicken Chasseur.

I held my small wedding reception at Cathédrale in The Patio (30 guests), and overall it was such a special night.

The Patio is a beautiful enclosed space—intimate, elegant, and perfect for a private event. I would absolutely love to come back for a summer celebration when it’s warmer and the space is open. Unfortunately, the heaters weren’t turned on during our event and it was very cold. Most of my guests had to keep their coats on. We requested multiple times for the heaters to be turned on and were told someone would handle it, but it never happened, which was disappointing.

That said, the planning process was wonderful. Working with Andrea and then Genna was seamless from start to finish. They scheduled tours of the spaces with me, walked me through the event packages, and helped curate an intimate evening with great food and drinks. They made the process feel easy and exciting.

Massiel, one of the managers, was communicative and kind leading up to the event. I dropped off custom menus (even though they provide beautiful printed menus for events), favors, and décor the night before, and her team truly outdid themselves with the setup. She also helped us get our music connected without any stress.

The staff overall was amazing. Every hostess I encountered was warm and welcoming. The wait staff was incredible and handled our family-style meal beautifully. Toward the end of the night, as the restaurant got busier, drink service slowed down a bit—but the team did their best to remain responsive and attentive.

Meal highlights: the bread (so good!), salade verte, filet mignon, branzino, and sautéed spinach. The chef and team delivered excellent food across the board. The premium bar package and macaron tower were absolutely worth it.

The champagne tower was a lovely visual touch, but I was under the impression (based on how it was presented on the event menu) that we would be able to pour into it during a toast. I was told it was unsteady so it ended up being mostly decorative, and I probably wouldn’t include it again.

Liam was our main host that evening. While he helped accommodate our requests and kept the night running smoothly, he could have been a bit warmer—some of my guests didn’t love his customer service. He also repeatedly called my husband Rob instead of Rod, which was frustrating on our wedding night. Because of this, I ended up doing most of the speaking with him instead of my husband to avoid confusion.

Overall, despite a few hiccups, we had a beautiful and memorable evening with great food, a stunning space, and a team that truly helped bring our vision to life. Note – All photos by Mira (My Muse Photo) and florals/votives by Jaisheema (Petals and Beyond).

I celebrated a birthday here recently. I got there early enough to discover one of the best happy hour deals in the city. The oysters on the half shell are $2 each. And there’s a nice list of lite bites for five bucks a piece. Small plates like chips and dip, pommes, little main lobster rolls, steak tartare, and more. An excellent selection of small plates that add up to a meal in themselves.

The atmosphere stellar, perfect for a group or an intimate gathering. The food is expertly prepared and looks beautiful. Every dish we had was great. I’d go back here again for dinner. I go back again to just sit at the bar and have a drink. The energy here is great.

My boyfriend and I wanted to spend our last dinner of the vacation in an elegant and romantic restaurant. La Cathédrale was the perfect place. The restaurant had a chic and intimate atmosphere, and the ceiling was spectacular. We had an excellent evening, the service was great and the food was delicious. The dim lighting made the dinner feel especially warm and cozy.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn’t have made a better choice.
I had a wonderful evening with my friends, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious.

The wine was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was truly amazing.

Thank you for being so wonderful and for creating such a special experience.
I highly recommend making a reservation in advance before visiting.

Story time … I came here after some friends & I were hanging at Ready Rooftop Cantina which is right above this exact location . They currently have hh from 5-7 if I am not mistaken & their chicken tinga tacos are only $1 dollar & were actually really good !!!!! However they didn’t have much of a dessert selection so we decided to head down to Cathedrale for some drinks & dessert. So glad we did because our experience was absolutely amazing . I took one star away because the hostess ladies upfront had a disgusting attitude that nearly almost made me walk out & go elsewhere! Ive never had this issue with any other Tao hospital restaurant. However once we sat at the bar our bartender Alberto was so welcoming & attentive he is the reason we decided to stay ! SHOUT OUT TO BOTH ALBERTO AND LIAM FOR THEIR ABOVE & BEYOND HOSPITALITY ! My friends and I would return strictly off these two people here, they were hands down amazing ! For dessert we ordered the Sorrento Lemon, Chocolate Soufflé & Honey Crisp Apple Beignets . WOW, WOW , WOW ! They were all truly sooooo good & so different we could not decide on which one was our favorite . Also, if you happen to go here and want to impress your date certainly get the Sgroppino – which is served table-side ! We all thought the drink was refreshing & again shout out to LIAM who came to serve the drink table-side & truly made our night memorable . We will definitely be returning for dinner next time ! Id definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some good music, luxe aesthetics. good dessert and good drinks .

We came here to celebrate my best friend’s birthday and had such an amazing night. The food, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe were all on point. We did have a small accident during the evening, but honestly it’s not even worth getting into because the night was still so great. The staff handled everything with so much kindness and care, and we were even offered complimentary drinks, which was very thoughtful (though the situation itself really wasn’t a big deal—we were just a bit shocked in the moment).

I’m usually the one writing bad reviews, but this place absolutely deserves a good one. Thank you to all the workers who were so nice and made the night special. We’ll definitely be back

It was a typical Monday, and our reservation was set for 5:00 PM—right when the restaurant opened. With a bit of time before being seated, we took advantage of their $5 finger foods and $8 drinks at the bar. Oh wow, everything—from the bites to the cocktails—was absolutely delicious!

Soon after, we were escorted into the main dining room, a grand space with soaring ceilings that felt almost cathedral-like. The ambiance was stunning and truly elevated the experience.

Since it was Restaurant Week, we ordered three different prix fixe menus, along with a couple of dishes from the regular menu. Once again, the food did not disappoint. Their liquor selection was solid, ranging from mid-tier to premium options. The wine we chose wasn’t quite to our taste, but that’s just a personal preference.

Service throughout the evening was excellent. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely love to return.

P.S. We ended up staying for 3.5 hours, and by the time we left, the restaurant was completely packed!

Nicely decorated restaurant – several pieces caught my attention. Would I go back for the food? No! The food was pretty underwhelming. We waited over 45 mins for French fries and a similar amount of time for our main meal. One of our party had pasta with sauce (not meat or any protein) and was charged $44. Only one person in our party enjoyed the main dish. The food was not flavorful – at all. Apparently, there was a new Chef in town and the kitchen/orders got backed up – or so we were told. Our waiter was pleasant and professional.

Cathedrale is absolutely stunning! The décor and ambiance alone make it worth visiting, especially for celebrating something special. The atmosphere feels upscale yet inviting.

The potato chip egg with caviar was a standout..rich, indulgent, and perfectly executed. The bread was fresh and good, though not quite worth the price, and the au jus that came with it was unfortunately insipid and lacked depth, so I wouldn’t reorder that.

The black truffle fettuccine was incredible!! So full of flavor in every bite and the rotisserie chicken was tender, juicy, and delicious. Overall, a memorable dining experience. I’d definitely recommend Cathedrale and will absolutely be back!

Excellent service at the spacious bar and dining room. Cocktails at the bar and table were not good. Looks better than it tastes. Mushroom app was good. Potato chip omelette was ok. Lobster pasta was stellar! Beautiful dining room. Whole team was very welcoming.
