My mom and I had a great experience. As we entered the door the bartender was very inviting and greeted us with a smile and bubbly attitude. We found our seats and were quickly attended to by our server, Amber. She was very sweet and attentive. We ordered cocktails and they came out pretty fast. I had a raspberry lemon drop while my mom had the old fashioned. Both made to perfection. We both ordered the gumbo and when I say it’s the best I’ve ever had outside of my mom’s, that’s no lie. Our food came out quickly as well and was so delicious! We both had crab claws; fried and Nola BBQ. There were enough claws that 4 people could have shared them and still been full. I was observing other patrons and everyone was happy with their food, drinks, the taste, and serving sizes. Kudos to everyone in the front and back of the house. You made a lot of people happy that day!

At the very least, this restaurant is 4 stars with a possibility of 4.5 stars. The interior of the restaurant is clean, relaxed, and cozy, but not cramped. Service was very good and they are friendly people. The seafood was delicious. The crab claws appetizer was well seasoned with a delicious sauce. We each got a seafood platter: my mom got the fried catch of the day, triple tail, and I got the grilled shrimp, which was perfectly seasoned. On a side note, the hush puppies were quite good, like crispy little balls of cornbread. We also got their seasonal dessert: “Sonja’s Creation” – slice of homemade key lime white chocolate cheesecake. The graham cracker crust was perfectly balanced with hints of white chocolate and perfectly melded key lime flavor to the cheesecake. It was so good, we got a second slice! We ended up spending over $100 with the tip, but depending on what is ordered, I believe it would be priced like a typical casual seafood restaurant in a downtown area. I wholeheartedly recommend giving this restaurant a try, especially since there are other items on the menu and especially since they put a lot of effort into their dessert.

I have never given a bad review before. I felt this one necessary. The three of us went to eat lunch. I saw the grouper special. I asked where was the fish from. IT WAS NOT POSTED. That’s a huge red flag!! Server went to ask chef. After several minutes I looked for her. She was in the kitchen. She came out and said the fish was from Pacific Indonesia. We left. The prices on the menu are high. Fine if it’s local fresh fish. Crazy for imported garbage.

Some of the best food around! I’ve never had anything I didn’t like! I try to go in weekly. My favorite is the crab cake BLT and you have to have the greens and gumbo! Audrey can make the perfect hot toddy too. Great place. Great food. Great people. Highly recommend.

Came to eat about 5:20pm on Saturday. There were about 4 tables total when we got there so not a busy time. Sat outside where hostess or whoever inside told us to grab a table. I stood at a table for close to 10 minutes while waitng for a server to come outside holding my 11 month old baby with my 6 year old and husband went to move the car. When she did come out I got asked if I needed anything since I was staring her down. I politely said yes and asked if she could please wipe the table and bring a high chair. She said it would be a minute so I told her to take her time trying to be nice. A little while went by and she came back with a rag. Wiped the table. I asked again for high chair. Few more minutes went by and she brought one. I gave her our drink orders. After that we went ahead and ordered. My husband ordered some of the wings that were the deal, my 6 yr old got a kids cheese burger and I myself only ordered some different sides so I could share with my 12 month old. I let her know he was very hungry so if she could just bring anything out the moment it was done. The sides I ordered were hush puppies and potato salad and fried okra. 30 min goes by and the baby is getting very fussy because he’s hungry. The server is bot coming outside she’s serving tables inside clearly forgot about us. At this point I’m getting frustrated because at least the potato salad could have been brought out. We sit there for AN HOUR and my husband goes inside to ask and he’s told ” there’s one more in front of you” to get their food first. The table beside us is also frustrated. They tell us they were told the exact same thing. She finally brings out potato salad and hush puppies that were like warm at best. No refills on drinks. Nothing. Can’t find the server again. After waiting an hour and a half, we left a few dollars on the table and left. This is absolutely ridiculous! It wasn’t even a busy time when we arrived. It also wasn’t that busy when we left. We love this place and were so hungry and excited to actually have time to sit and eat at a restaurant. Terrible experience and won’t be back after this.
