Stopped in here coming off the highway looking for a decent deli. Run by mother-daughter duo, we met the mother. She seemed to know everyone by name that came in (excluding us out of towners). Super polite, generous portions, bread was tasty and fresh. Exactly what we wanted. Would definitely recommend stopping by.

Maybe we came on an off day or time of day or ordered the wrong stuff but this food was awful. My wife got a house salad (they had a sign advertising that they have salads) and it was worse than college cafeteria food. I got a chicken salad sandwich but they were out so I got some other concoction with a bunch of grapes in it. It was fine though too many grapes but the salad was hella gross.
The crazy thing was that at noon on Friday they were out of everything including chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, roast beef, pastrami, eggs, tomatoes, and turkey.
I appreciate that this is a minority-owned mother and daughter business and they were both very kind (particularly the daughter). But the food was some of the worst we’ve ever had.

You gotta get the muffins here in the morning. Grilled w butter. The apple and blueberry ones are outstanding as well as the corn and chocolate chip. This spot has been a staple for me ever since I was a kid, and I love that it is still around given that so many spots in the uptown area have been driven out due to the migration of city people.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the family at Market Basket. I reached out to them to cater a repast for the passing of a loved one in the area; being from out of town, I was unsure where to turn, but the staff was extremely comforting and accommodating when I reached out. The food was exceptional and the presentation and delivery was extremely professional. Thank you for helping my family in our time of need, and I hope to come by the store if I am in the area again!

I work in Uptown & came across Market Basket in the height of the pandemic. They were one of very very few shops remained open & I’ve been going ever since.
Carmella always takes care of me, she knows my regular orders and shes quick with it when i switch things up. Love her fun personality.
Sometimes theres nice small talk while you wait other times theyre busy with a rush hour. Get in, get out! No matter what, they always make you feel at home. Good food, decent prices.
