My second visit to this restaurant and once again, everything was outstanding. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection, and the mashed potatoes were just as impressive. The waitress was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. The ambiance is fantastic, and the history of the building adds so much character. And that tree out front is truly unforgettable. Every time I come to Clemson, this will always be my go-to spot.

Excellent experience at this restaurant. The food is very high quality, but the surf and turf is definitely the highlight of the menu. The combination of juicy meats with perfectly cooked, flavorful seafood is outstanding. Everything tastes fresh, well seasoned, and cooked just right.

The portions are generous and the presentation is great, making it a dish you can truly enjoy. It’s definitely worth ordering and a reason to come back.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a great surf and turf experience.

This little gem is an older home with a lot of style. I highly recommend we had steaks, escargo, and even dessert here, everything was delicious. Staff was terrific.

It was 48° outside, the air was blowing inside, so I the waiter about this and he said that he had numerous complaints about air conditioning being on but no one ever did anything, the lighting was so dim, had to use flashlight from phone to read the menu. The sweet tea was totally unsweet but we could not get sweet tea, baked potato came out cold, scallops were tough and chewy, lobster tail was terrible, even the drawn butter couldn’t hide the weird taste, drink from bar was totally wrong; tried to send it back to be better but was only worse. Having been in the food business for 26 years, I asked for the chef to come out of the kitchen, but he never did, ask for the main manager, but he wasn’t there. A young lady came out said she was filling in for the manager. She was polite but obviously inexperienced. They sent a piece of cheesecake out no charge and it was pretty obvious why no charge…no taste. They did take $20 off for the lobster tail and no charge for a tea. The bill came and was 98 dollars. The right thing to do, would have been to comp the whole meal, but they would not. It was a totally disastrous meal for our wedding anniversary meal. Take it from a long time food industry guy, you do not want to go to this restaurant. No upscale observed or experienced. Very poor signage in a multi-mile radius. No prominent sign even showing the name of the restaurant. They got our $100, but only once.

I had a lovely birthday dinner here! The restaurant is in a charming historic building. We had great and attentive service! We plan on coming back to try some other delicious looking dishes that peaked our interest. Not going to lie.. the Crab Cake app was our favorite and I really want to come back to try their She Crab Soup.

Escargot was over cooked but salads were good. Bread is very dense and hard. Almost stale like.

For main meals, everything was just OK (tuna, steak and scallops). I got the salmon special. Definitely the smallest portion I have ever received at a restaurant. Not worth the $30+

Someone got the pecan pie. It was very good.

Service was iffy. Sat without a drink for a long time.

No refills on soda, $3.50 a glass. Seriously.

Salad had to be returned as it seemed to have been pre prepared a long time ago.
My ginger ale had to be returned because it was flat so I asked for a coke instead. Same thing so I had water.
The bread never came till I had to get up and ask for it. They did not know it was included with the dinner. Even so it took forever and what they brought was not enough as we were six.
It was cold inside. We asked for some heat but that too never took place.
Finally, the check took forever and ever to arrive. Again, we had to get up and see that was wrong.
We’ve been at Calhoun Corners before and that is why my wife asked to celebrate her birthday there. Sorry…not again!

Reservation recommended. Michael did an awesome job as our server. We both ordered filets and they were cooked perfectly, one medium rare the other medium. Great wine list as well.

We went to Calhoun Corners for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely incredible. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Our waitress, who had only been in the area for two weeks, was so kind and friendly, offering great suggestions throughout the night.

We started with the escargot and stuffed mushrooms, both were delicious, and the fresh, hot, buttery bread was irresistible. For our main courses, I had the beef Wellington, perfectly cooked and flavorful, while my wife’s favorite of the night was the prime rib. Everything was prepared beautifully and tasted amazing.

Our waitress even took the time to give us other dining recommendations in the area since we are visiting. Overall, it was an unforgettable anniversary dinner and we can’t recommend Calhoun Corners enough.

This has been a go-to place for several years for an excellent dinner with atentive staff and excellent presentation. Visited on 11/19 and it was not as usual. The bread was stale and quickly turned hard as it cooled, the bread used to be a highlight! Always looking forward to a cup of she-crab soupe when visiting. This time the she-crab soup felt diluted and not flavorful as useful, the soup was spilled over the plate leading to a very poor presentation. Filet was ok, presentation was very poor… two brocolis and a few carrot sticks poorly arranged, mashed potatoes seemed to just have been “dumped” on the plate. Please don’t let this place decline!
