Please do not come here.
This place is for drunk people who don’t care for the taste of food.
We came in after lunchtime and the place was empty (should’ve trusted my instinct and left). I wanted to give the place a shot because the food LOOKED good online. However, it was far from good. We went in thinking we could find the same type of Mexican seafood like in Cancun. IT WAS FAR FROM IT.
The prices are ridiculous! $17 for a cup of aguachile? The shrimp wasn’t even cooked well, the salsa was too spicy. It looked like they just blended some jalapeños and served it like that.
We also ordered a molcajete, because eating from one tastes better. However, when it arrived, the food was on a silver bowl, which was placed on top of the molcajete. It defeats the purpose of using a molcajete. Might as well just serve the food in the bowl.
There’s not a lot to say besides stay away from this place. Food isn’t good and prices are ridiculous.

Okokok, Oooooookay! You guys this is located on the Taco Mile in Austin. It’s next to the indoor pulga on north lamar before Braker if going south to north. It’s across the street from Chuy’s on Lamar to be exact.
It’s pricy but it’s seafood and well worth it.
They’ve upgraded they’re look to this island motif that’s really cute actually.
Tienen karaoke you guys!!!! We were there on a Friday and the people who sang were freaking good! You can tell it’s their Friday night hang out. It has awesome sound too, don’t think it’s cheesy karaoke, noooonononono! It’s the BA club style karaoke, jajaja Their chelaritas are hellu strong. The oysters are gynormous, they hang off the spoon, so you better like oysters if you order them! Lol The shrimp in the cocktail are large shrimp, not baby or mini or 6 jumbos hanging off your glass you know what I mean! It was a 25$ oyster shrimp cocktail that neither of us were able to finish!!!!! There’s a smaller and larger portion as well.
All in all it’s worth checking out, it really is you guys.
Our server forgot something on our order and it had to be remade but management came by to check on us and let us know it was coming soon. Our server made up for it, she was super nice, cute, friendly.
Oh! Chips and salsa are freaking good !!!
Todos hablan español. Don’t expect fufi, no, it’s suuuper laid back. I loved it! They have a decent tap Mexican beer selection and a whole bunch of margarita flavors, mixed drinks, etc.
Oh wait! You can also check out the indoor pulga (flea market) next door! Walk off the meal and the ritas! Lol OR go to the pulga and build an appetite, jejeje The pulga is awesome as well and has all kinds of traditional Mexican artifacts, dresses, guayaberas, shoes, leather boots, jewelers, quince dresses, food, I mean what you can imagine at a mercado, it’s in there, it’s awesome, go check it out,
I promise you’ll love it. It’s a little piece of Mexico in Austin and Mariscos Tampico is a little Cancun restaurant/bar on the side. ❤️

Enjoying the master show at Table 22. This place is absolutely amazing. The food is fresh and the vibes are great. If you’re looking for a real authentic Mexican restaurant with great music, Mariscos Tampico is the best place in the Austin area. Great customer service, our waitress was polite and fast with our order. Highly recommend!!

The food here was great! I ordered a combo plate which came with hush puppies, a crab cake, fries, white rice and a mojarra frita. Everything came out delicious. The atmosphere is very calm with nice older Mexican music to set the mood. I enjoyed the low lighting as well. The bar is pretty big and offers quite the selection of liquors and cocktails. Service was very friendly, just felt a little understaffed but they were definitely working hard to get to everyone

Food was pretty good but when we asked for the check the server tried to scam us. She said it was 146(we only had 2 appetizers and 4 drinks) we got a 50 and 1s in change , my husband asked for to break the 50 so he could tip her when she came back with the change i asked her for the receipt which she gave me and quickly left. When i checked it she had already tipped herself 20% and didn’t say anything when we asked to break the bill to tip her. She would’ve gotten tipped like 50 dollars.

Food is not very flavorful or fresh, no vegetarian options also the biggest issue I had was the waiter tipping himself 17.00 when he only came to our table to take our order and never saw him again until I had to ask for the check which came out to 143 because he put in the wrong item but we had already waited more than 30 min for food so when it was brought out we told them it wasn’t what we ordered no one could find our waiter i told them it was ok we were hungry not what I expected on our 1st and last time here
