Mariscos Playa Azul Café is an absolute hidden gem! The seafood was incredibly fresh and authentic. We had the ceviche and it was a solid 10/10 loaded with lime, fresh pico, and served on a crispy, freshly made tostada. The homemade corn tortillas tasted just like your grandma’s and in this case, they are! It’s a family-owned spot with a young grandma in the kitchen, hand-making every single plate with love and care.
The fried shrimp and fried fish were both cooked to perfection.. crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. On top of the amazing food, the staff was super nice and welcoming. You can feel the pride they take in what they do.
I highly recommend this place to everyone. We’re definitely coming back to try more dishes. This spot is the real deal!

This establishment is situated inside the Ramada Inn, with a convenient entrance through the side. We came here twice, one month apart. The first time, we really enjoyed our ceviche, chips, fish dishes. The second time, the food lacked flavor. Hence my three star rating. I will say however, that I’d choose their dishes over the typical fried seafood down Padre Blvd. The young server was very accommodating . The lemonade was huge and delicious. They allowed us to get some coffee from their coffee station on our way out.

What an amazing restaurant. Underrated! Must try if you are in the island. Doesn’t have a typical Mexican restaurant ambience. But the food, blew our mind away. Tamales, mmmmmm. Ceviche mmmmmmmmmmm. The only downside they dont serve alcohol. Friendly staff! Awesome food.

It was SO DELICIOUS last night, we came back tonight. Don’t be deceived by the location (breakfast area in the Ramada.) The service is great and the food is impeccably fresh and flavorful. Something for everyone on the menu – burgers, fish, shrimp and Mexican food. Highly recommended!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was a little skeptical of this restaurant as it is located in the breakfast room of a Ramada Hotel but it was worth the stop. I tried the tacos al pastor, six mini soft corn shells with cilantro, onions, pineapple and seasoned pork for $10 + tax, they were delicious!

Hidden gem on the island.

Chilly, rainy night on the island last week and we’re looking for a place for caldo de marisco without going over the causeway.

Found Mariscos Playa Azul Cafe and were pleasantly surprised. In addition to the fresh caldo, homemade tortillas are included for a little extra $$. Takes a little longer wait , but it’s worth the splurge.

It’s a small place with no frills, but great food and service. We will be going back and try breakfast or lunch as well.

Wonderful place serving delicious food. The hollow table was filled with sand and shells. The restaurant is in a very authentic fishing village style, simple but bright.

Went this last Friday, i was looking to try a new restaurant and stumbled upon this one inside Ramada Inn, i walked in and a lady greeted me and led us to the table. Service was quick and any questions i had were answered by the server.
Food was really good, we got fish tacos, sopa de mariscos, and ceviche, with lemonades. The lemonade was one of the best ones ive tried totally reccomend it!! They gave us chips and salsa when we got there and the salsa was really good that how i knew the food was going to be delicious as well! When we got the food you can tell it was going to be delicious and everything was prepared fresh, server was good on checking with us if we needed anything else.
Its a hidden spot in the island, try it if you have a chance you wont regret it everyone is really nice. Had a wondeful experience and left with a full belly 10/10

We decided to try this place, as it had such good reviews. We were not disappointed! We had the ceviche, chicken burrito, governor shrimp tacos with homemade tortillas, and a cucumber pineapple agua fresca. Everything was delicious!! I think the ceviche was the best I’ve had! We did buy 2 desserts to go that look absolutely delicious, but were too full to try them, yet. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable & attentive. We will be back!

The food was superb! We ordered Chipotle shrimp, chicken Alfredo, American enchilada, Mexican enchilada and the fried shrimp, fish and calamari and barbacoa(amazing tacos!!!), we also got the pineapple and cucumber fresca. Everything was really good! Entree prices averages around $17 each entree so it can add up quickly but it’s worth it! The entrees are shareable too! We were just super hungry and finished it all! 10/10 recommend eating here. We will definitely come here every time we are in SPI!
