Excellent food and service! I ordered the shrimp enchilada plate that was very delicious! I will make this restaurant my go to place when visiting Ramona.

This is authentic Mexican seafood restaurant. If your looking for fun casual experience and delicious food, this is the place. The amount of food on your plate exceeds the price making this not only affordable but satisfying dinning experience. This is a full service restaurant which can accommodate large groups and also offers , beer and exquisite thirst quenching Margaritas. This is a hidden gem !!

This place is muey bueno! The restaurant is clean, the servers are super nice, and the food is the best around; and that says a lot for SoCal with so many Mexican restaurants to choose from. We drive out from Poway all the time, it’s a beautiful drive and well worth the trip.
I love their Siete Mares (seafood soup), fish tacos with a Corona & lime, and their Campechana (Mexican seafood cocktail). Even though their seafood is fantastic, their Chili Verde is the best I’ve ever had anywhere (and I have ordered it a LOT from a lot of different restaurants!). I like to order it with a couple fried eggs on top.
Ask for the spicy salsa to kick up the heat a notch. I don’t have a Mexican grandma, but if I did, I would expect her food to be just like like the food at Mariscos del mar de Cortez!

Best Mexican food in the town.
The mocajetes was MASSIVE. It was worth the price point. Only few knocks, the sauce could’ve used a little more flavor and the carne was dry but the seafood, cheese and other meets and veggies, so good.
The tampiquena was delicious, which made us think their micheladas had to be phenomenal (next time!)
Fish tacos were huge and tasted good as well.
Fun environment and look forward to coming back for more.

I’m not lying, even though it’s in Ramona seemingly a little ways away from the coast, this really is some of the best Mariscos you can find around! The campechana and ceviche are so yummy and perfect! But I most often order the Mariscada! You get everything in the Mariscada and it totally satisfies every craving for Mariscos! It’s a big portion that can easily feed two, especially with a small appetizer with it! It’s definitely a go-to favorite that I often crave! It’s really, really fresh! The oysters are great and the texture of even the octopus is spot on and not too rubbery. You can’t go wrong by going here for Mexican style seafood! Lots of fresh, cool lime and avocados with the perfect amount of salt, tang and tiny hint of spice if you want it with the hot sauce on the side! Great for something to cool off with in the Summer!

This was a great Mexican restaurant! The food was really good and service was great. We had a chicken burrito and it was big enough for my husband and I to share. Their salsa is so good! They also offer a spicier one that you have to ask for.

A great Ramona restaraunt. Sam, the owner, has a little piece of Heaven here in Mariscos. Quiet and convenient with amazing, freshly made Mexican cuisine. My go to is the Octopus in Garlic or the three enchilada plate. They’ve got it all, great service, great ambiance and great food. Indoor and outdoor seating for small or large parties. There is a bar in the back for beer or Michaladas on a super hot day. Conveniently located a block off Main on the 78, don’t miss this gem.!!!!
