The piece de resistance was the “King Kong,” which was a towering ceviche palace of yumminess. It had fresh octopus, advocado, shrimp, scallops, conch, you name it it was there, the only thing that I would quibble with is that they use imitation crab. The King Kong presentation was and in itself a show, the server lifted a towering tube and the tower of ceviche stayed upright until we were ready to dig in. The sauce was tangy, spicy, smoky. Perfect.
To top it off, we order the camaron y pescado, which is the shrimp and fish soup. It contained fresh tilapia, shrimp, carrots, onions, and served with lime, chopped onions, and coarse corn tortillas on the side.
We left the meal extremely satisfied. Though the service was slightly slow, it was extremely attentive and accommodating. The family, which included the mom, the dad, and the daughter made sure everybody felt welcomed.
Cash Only.
If you can’t tell, I’ll definitely be coming back when I’m back into this part of town. I want to try the tuna soup and the Levanta Muertos.
