The food was great. The help? Not so much. We had our normal slice and a salad. Food was excellent. I’m not sure what was up with the people taking orders.

Best NY style huge slices or pies. Tastes just like being on a street in NYC. Wife had a Stromboli which was also great. Tried the white pizza as well, great but could use a tad bit more flavor.

The pizza is decently good, but they charge you 3% extra to use a…credit/debit card. Umm…it’s not the 1990’s, and you’re a restaurant. Thanks for the pizza, but there are other very great and comparable pizza places in town instead that don’t charge me extra for giving them my business.

I am from NY and I can tell you this pizza is darn good. Get it while its hot! So eating there would be best. We got that super large one. Brought it home. Thought we would have pizza for the week. It was all gone. That good!

Brand new makeover, took out all the falling apart booths, and it’s still the same great NY slices. Can’t find too many places in Greensboro better for a cheap and delicious piece of pizza. And they’re freaking huge, so you definitely get your money’s worth. It’s been here since I can remember, and it’ll be here, I’m sure, long after I’m gone.

This is a personal bonus, but the fact they let me bring in my water bottle and fill it up is HUGELY appreciated. Keeps me from having to get up and refill a little water cup every 5 minutes.

I ordered a simple chicken parmesan hero from the new garden Mario’s store. Instead of getting a chicken filet I had chicken pieces that were terribly oversalted. The quantity was all right but it was obvious that the chicken had been cooked earlier. I’ve worked restaurants for many years when I was in college. Most restaurants are on a 60 40 percentage. With the restaurant getting the 60% for their expenses food labor etc. It’s obvious that this restaurant is on an 80-20 system. As I was looking at their pizza menu it was highly overpriced. In New York City, where pizza is king. There prices
are much lower but they’re overhead of the business is much higher; and their product is better. Restaurants like Mario’s should deal with better qualityand price. I will not return.

The kids pepperoni pizza slice was really good my daughter almost finished it and it only came with a drink. The chicken nuggets kids meal came with fries and a drink but the chicken nuggets tasted like shrimp for some reason. I thought I was going crazy when I tried a piece so I let my 9yr old try it and she confirmed it tasted like shrimp. The stromboli i ordered came with 3 ingredients which i chose pepperoni, bacon and spinach. The only problem i had with my stromboli was that the spinach was not cooked all that long so it was a little tough to eat like it might as well have been uncooked. The tea o had was definitely not sweet so when I took a sip good thing I had lemon in my cup because I would have had to think real hard about spitting it out and I know for sure it was the sweet tea and not unsweetened tea.

If you’re in the mood for classic Italian comfort food (Hot NY-style pizza, garlic knots, chicken parm, ravioli, hot subs), Marios is a good choice. Watch the fresh dough fly through the air then get basted with fresh tomato sauce, toppings, and voila- yummy. The grilled chicken salad with house vinegrette is delicious. A large Mario’s Special pizza was a hit at our last party. Fountain drinks. Daily specials/combos on the chalkboard. Great spot for family or team gatherings. Cozy in winter, cool in the summer Marios is year-round yum.
