I don’t see cheese underneath lol – see pic below.
My niece and my mother were in there about 2 months ago and I was just made an aware of an incident that occurred. My niece is seven years old keep in mind. With their dinner, they got water and my niece got excited seeing cheerwine and before her grandmother noticed she used her cup to get cheerwine. Immediately an overzealous worker started loudly and emphatically reprimanding her from behind the counter. Her grandmother offered to pay for a soda and tried to explain they weren’t trying to steal just a mistake. The fool came out and made the child give her cup, poured the drink out and scolded her. It was apparently such an excessive display that another gentleman stepped in and again offered to just buy the soda. I’m not sure you are aware of this but if you are I would like to follow up on how this was handled and if you are not then you should have a discussion with how to handle telling a 7 year old girl politely that she needs to make sure she gets what she ordered. It wasn’t an issue of paying for a soda nor stealing bc we have “soda money” but to think that this young man that you employ just berated a 7 year old girl makes my blood boil. I’ve given you the opportunity to respond and follow up via email instead of posting the incident on google reviews/yelp/etc.
Bread on the Italian hoagie was stellar: soft, warm, and it collapses under your teeth instead of fighting you. I wish there was some spicy capacola or something on the Italian in addition to the salami and generic ham. Everything tasted fresh and locally made. It’s a good stop for lunch – no fuss, just good food.
Single person restroom.
Floors in the restaurant were very clean. Refillable drink station and water.
Lots of natural light from the wall of windows. Booth seating throughout.
response, like I said, If I have to pay gouging prices, I add alittle to it and settle on a steak dinner, Big slice or not. I mentioned this to 3 people, and 1st reply was, yea, they are outrageous.” So, not only one feeling owner is gouging. Might consider reg size and reg price sometime. Might get more returns vs price points with high pricing. Hard to break even for customer. Thanks just the same.
