I used to live in the fox chase area but now live not too far from this Pizza place. I did enjoy the pizza slice I received here around 2 or 3 times I’ve come here as an eating customer. The place is also very clean and inviting. This is usually my to-go to place for pizza since no one else seems to make well enough quality pizza around that I am aware of. I’ll almost most certainly return here in the future.

Mario’s has served no nonsense delicious pizza with love and care for decades. I don’t know exactly what makes the pizza so special but it is flat out my favorite and my whole family’s. The humility of the people that make and serve the pies has always been truly philly. If you don’t love this pizza and this establishment that’s a you problem. It’s simply the best!

I’ve eaten a few times at Mario’s because they are the closest pizza shop near my home. The pizza is decent meaning if you really have a craving and you’re unable to get to another pizza place this one will do just to satisfy your craving. The buffalo wings were ok. The cheesesteak was small and not good at all and the meat wasn’t seasoned. The bacon cheeseburger was a bacon BIT cheeseburger. Instead of slices of bacon they sprinkled bacon bits onto a tasteless slice of cheese and put that on an even more tasteless burger patty which was kin to a McDonald’s patty. Frankly the “bacon cheeseburger” was a JOKE! The prices are high yet the quality is low. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wanted more than the occasional slice of pizza. The staff is nice and friendly.

I’d really like to push to a 3.5 star on this one. Since we’ve moved to the area, Mario’s has been
our go-to pizza place. I’d say there’s not much that makes it different, but we have enjoyed their food, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. Occasionally a pizza is a little doughy/chewier than usual, and that’s about all that really bumped me down. Not a major issue since we don’t feel the need to go elsewhere.
If you’re looking for a consistent, local pizza joint, I’d recommend giving it a try.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a mushroom cheese steak. They were both hot juicy and delicious.The cheesecake bread was very tender. The meat was (gristle free). Both were flavourful.

I ordered a chicken cheesesteak on August 15, 2025. The food is good. The cheesesteak was fabulous. The staff are pleasant .The only thing that I did not like is no one is wearing gloves handling the food. The female grab the roll with her bare hands from a roll bin. The cook grab the roll with his bare hands to put the chicken cheesecake in. When the french fries were done, the female place fries in the to go container and one of the fries needed to be repositioned so the container can close and she used her finger. Please start wearing gloves and hair nets while working with food. Thank you
