I love this bakery! The employees are so sweet, the prices are so reasonable and if you can get there before 10:00 you’ll be able to experience their incredible scones. Even if you can’t make it there in time, if you call they will set some aside for you because they go so fast. The chai lattes are amazing? I also love their cheese and strawberry kolaches. Literally everything you get from Marilyn’s bakery is amazing. I go there way too much but it’s so worth it, I’ll just be fat ♀️

Im 60 today. Let me tell you, I’ve eaten a lot of cake in my lifetime. I have to say that this cake that Marilyn’s just made for me is hands down the most delicious cake I’ve ever had.
Real strawberry in the slightly sweetened butter cream frosting…chocolate silk mousse filling…but the moistness and butteryness of the white cake itself was phenomenal!! It was decorated so beautifully I almost didn’t want to cut it! Almost… Thank you and the decorator that made it.

They have so manny different flavors and everything is REAL! They use real fruit, real ingredients. Super tasty and fresh.

Absolutely loved the apple pie. The crust was flaky and the apples weren’t overpowered by spices like store-bought pies tend to be. Worth every penny.

It’s been 6 years but I will hold a grudge until the world ends. Don’t go to this bakery if you want a wedding cake for your reception. They don’t care about their customers or appointments. They will forgot about your cake tasting appointment and forgot your wedding day. I can only hope this place closes. I will personally show up with a wedding cake and eat it while they are packing up their equipment.

Amazing baked goods!! Since it’s strawberry season, we were able to get a dozen of their strawberry donuts. We also go their strawberry cheesecake and some chocolate chip cookies.
They also sell coffee, espresso drinks, tea and hot chocolate. They sell honey, canned drinks and bottled drinks too.
Wonderful place to get a lunch or dessert & coffee.

Since it was my first time going there, I was not expecting to wait for a HOUR AND A HALF in the cold to get my one pie. With somewhere north of 70 people in line, it was very hard on my back. The pie was a little watery to me, so it might have been a little under done. If I go back, I will avoid the crowd for a holiday or special day when everyone in Lake County is there or in Dyer. One last note, the line was even longer when I walked away with my pie!

We recently purchased a pie at the Hobart location. We were so disappointed! It was a cherry crumble pie. There was literally 3 inches of crumble on the top, and little to no cherry filling. When you tried to slice it with a knife, it just all fell apart into a heap of crumbles. My husband says “its the worst pie I’ve ever had in my life”. We threw it away! What a total waste of money.

Stopped into Marilyn’s Bakery in Hobart, IN today. Wow! The french silk small cup dessert was the best I have ever had! If you enjoy french silk pie this is a must try item! The thin chocolate crumb outer crust is delicious and adds a nice flavor & texture.
Chocolate chip cookies are also very good.
Everyone in the bakery was helpful & friendly!
