Veteran chain bakery/eatery famed for its pies & offering other American fare in a homey space.

We visited an American diner from a well-known chain. The atmosphere was very nice and had a classic American diner feel, which made the visit enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service did not live up to that: the staff was quite slow, and we had to wait a long time for our drinks. In addition, the staff was not very friendly.
The food was okay overall — not outstanding, but not bad either. It was decent and met expectations, though nothing particularly memorable. The value for money was fair, and the restaurant appeared clean and well maintained.
Overall, it was a mixed experience: a nice atmosphere and acceptable food, but clear weaknesses in service. With faster and friendlier staff, the experience could be much better.

First time here and loved it! Our server was great! She was really friendly and you can feel she loves her job! The food was delicious! I order a carbonara and my husband a burger (best burger ever!). The restaurant is super nice inside. Coming back for sure!!!

On our first visit, we did a pickup order that cornbread comes on the house, which is why it was included with our original order. That made the experience feel welcoming. The chicken in the fettuccine was delicious and juicy.
On our second dine-in visit, the experience was very different. There was no sense of comfort or attentiveness from our server, we were missing a utensil, and service was quite slow despite the restaurant not being very busy. There were several staff members standing around, yet basic needs weren’t addressed in a timely manner.
My husband’s burger was also made incorrectly—it was missing the avocado, bacon, and cheese. Given how slow it was, this was especially disappointing. The server never gave us a cornbread starter and she kept pushing the lemonade even though I told her it saw way too sweet.
On a return stay in the area, we attempted to order takeout again, but the phone line was disconnected, so we had to place an online pickup order instead. This time, cornbread was not included and we were charged extra for it, which was confusing based on our earlier experience. Cornbread is supposed to come with your order whether you pick-up or dining, even Olive garden throws 2 packs of bread sticks for a pickup order.
The inconsistency in service, accuracy, and communication really took away from the overall experience. We’ll be skipping this restaurant in the future very inconsistent food quality, service.

We came right at open and waited no time getting our food hot and fresh. Even the boiled eggs came out quick and well done. The tvs were on and college football Saturday queued up and ready to go

Located off the 10 FWY off Barranca St exit next to LA Fitness with plenty of parking.
We stopped here for breakfast on this Saturday morning and were seated right away by a friendly and welcoming hostess.
Today, I ordered their “French Toast Platter” with a fresh cup of hot coffee. The food tasted amazing and very satisfying. Shout out to our server, Berenice who was very attentive, making sure to check on us often refilling our coffee cups.
The restaurant is clean and organized with a full sized bar and TVs throughout. The restroom was also very clean.
Overall, we had a great experience at this location and will definitely return.

My mom and I came on a Wednesday because she likes the older crowd and the buy one entree and two drinks, get a free entree coupons she gets via email.
We’ve gone several times for lunch and I have been pleasantly surprised by the food. Honestly, I had low expectations but the food is pretty decent. My favorite is the shrimp tacos, healthy and tasty. This last time my mom got the roast beef dip sandwich, but she usually gets the roasted turkey plate.
Also, on our last visit they were short-staffed so there was a little bit of a wait, but the waitress was calm, cool, and collected and I appreciated her responsiveness considering the circumstances.
I am not a huge fan of sweets, but next time I will grab a pie or cornbread because the display case looked like it had some great tasting stuff.

Our meals were great! They were able to make me a lettuce wrap burger which was delicious served with coleslaw. My husband had pot roast. In fact, almost the entire room ordered pot roast. Must be very popular! The aroma was amazing. Wished I had ordered their comfort food. But my meal was good too!!

I took my mom here for her birthday, we loved the food, especially the Marie’s potpie it was delicious! Although the food was great, the service was terrible. The only checked on us once I had to call them a few times. Tbh I think it was a discrimination thing, we were definitely being ignored on purpose. Not only that, they brought us our pies In a to go box with the receipt and didn’t even ask if we wanted it to go or for here it was extremely rude! Probably won’t be going back to that location.

Always try to to visit this great restaurant whenever I can, they are a classy classic place to dine and most locations work to maintain their commitment to high quality meat crust and sweet crust that keeps me coming back for more.
Some favorites are the pot pie, the burger lunches and the fresh cream and fruit pies that finely compliment the meals. Also like the monthly pie specials, yum…

This was our first time dining at this location, and we all had an amazing experience!! We chose this spot as it is the mid-point from where we live. My family and I were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Our server was Todd. When I tell you that this man gave us top-of-the-line service, I am not even exaggerating one bit! There were 9 of us in our party and not one of us felt or went unattended or forgotten at any point of the evening. Our drinks were topped, our food arrived promptly and Todd would check on us every 10 to 12 minutes to see if we were okay or needed anything else. Everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered the New York 10oz steak and I asked for it to be medium rare. After noting that I preferred my steaks red and very juicy, Todd suggested to ask for the steak to be rare.. which I did. Well, to my disappointment, my steak was more in the medium-well range. I didn’t complain or make a big fuss about it, as everyone else at our table was enthusiasticly enjoying their dishes and just raving about how great everything was on their plate. Our appetizers were fantastic. The corn bread and honey butter were perfection!! Both my daughter and my husband had burgers and they loved their meal. My husband really couldn’t stop talking about his burger on our way home. He was shocked on how great his burger tasted with the sourdough bread!! (Now he wants to make burgers on sourdough bread.) Dessert was outstanding (we had the Chocolate Silk Pie… SO delicious!!) and Todd was super attentive with our coffee and dessert, as well. All in all, we had a fantastic evening and we really felt that our server, Todd, made that happen. His energy and great attitude made us feel welcome, cared for, and heard. Thank you, Todd!!! Thank you for an unforgettable evening and helping us celebrate my daughter’s birthday. She was very, very happy.. as well as all of us!
