DELICIOUS!
Service a great! Faris took time to tell us about the menu and recommended an amazing grill combo!
We had grilled lamb chops, chicken, koftah, rice, side salad, fresh pita, and salsas. Two of us couldn’t finish it all!
The flavors were amazing!
I really enjoyed the lentil soup we had with our hummus starter. The soup came out the perfect temperature. Not too hot not too cold legit just right!
I had the shai which was delicious! Black tea with spices.
And Faris was kind enough to give us each a sample of the shai adani , black tea with condensed milk and spices. I’ll for sure order a cup next time. Think chai latte flavor!
We will for sure be back!

I’m writing this review to talk about what an excellent dining experience I had here for lunch (on behalf of my mom and I)! I’m actually on the way back to have the restaurant one more time before I return for college and was reminded that I needed to write a review. I very rarely write reviews for restaurants, but the service and the food was extremely good.

Our server was Faris who was so personable and friendly. To start, we had baba ghanoush and lentil soup. It is not an exaggeration to say that this was the best baba ghanoush we ever had, and the soup was great too. Faris was extremely attentive, and the Shai Adeni (Yemeni Chai) he prepared for us was exceptional! It was so lovely that we went to the unaffiliated market next door to see if we can make the tea at home. We then ordered a platter of meats (including lamb kefta and grilled chicken), which was absolutely delicious. I wish I had photos of everything, but we definitely devoured!

We had an amazing meal with wonderful service. Everything was wonderful from
The lamb humus, Fahsa in a hot stone bowl, the chicken kabob, the lime and mint drink, and the warm tea with milk and cardamom.
Our waiter was very attentive and offered menu suggestions that were delicious.
We highly recommend and will be back again. We definitely have leftovers, as the portions were generous.

Faris was awesome! Excellent service, amazing food with pastries to die for. I wanted to share with my wife and daugther the Yemeni Culinary experience for our first meal of 2026 and it was amazing.

I give Marib Restaurant a 2 thumbs up and must go!

I have had the pleasure of eating at restaurants around the world and this is top notch!

Happy New Year’s to all!

We came in about an hour before close and after making sure the kitchen was still open, settled in for an amazing dining experience. Fariz was a delight and attentive. We had the falafel to start and then split the mixed grill platter. It was the perfect amount for two and everything was delicious. The flavor was on point and you could tell everything was made fresh. If I wasn’t simply visiting the area, this would have a permanent spot on my list of places to eat regularly! It’s a little hidden at the end of the strip by Target, but totally worth the trip.

Just had a great lunch from Marib! We accidentally ordered pick up from the Springfield location and were treated so kindly by the staff who helped correct the situation. For three of us we got a lamb entree, shrimp entree, and a chicken humus — there was plenty for leftovers! We’ll definitely be coming back. The lamb was super moist and just fell apart beautifully, the shrimp were cooked with so much flavor, and the humus was savory and we loved the chicken on top. Everything was incredibly delicious, tasted fresh, and again we’re so grateful for the understanding with our mixup!!

Amazing spectacular find! A delicious food tour of Yemeni cuisine. Everything we ordered was superbly cooked and beautifully presented. Two incredible stews, one vegetable and one shredded chicken were sizzling in beautiful cast iron crocks, the salad was bright and fresh, the mint and lime drinks were perfect, the coffee husk drink was unique and perfectly balanced, the desserts a delightful cultural journey of crisp, sweet, and soft. We stumbled across this place while driving from DC to Richmond and we’re definitely going to drive back for this food. The attentive staff was generous with their time and knowledge, and offered cultural connections about the food, the ingredients, and the music, which all set a perfect tone for a special evening. So much gratitude that there are places and people like this.

Excellent Yemeni food! I wish we had tried this sooner. My chicken kabob was well seasoned and moist. My family enjoyed their beef stews and lamb kofta. The baba ganoush was so flavorful and delicious! They were very generous with the fresh bread as well. Our server was so kind and attentive. We will definitely be back soon and will probably order take-out often.

Second time eating at Marib and they did not disappoint. The food is delicious, the service is great, atmosphere is impeccable. Our server Faris was great—very kind, gave recommendations and made our experience easier since my friend and I are both indecisive. Everything came out quickly and was presentable. Definitely recommend and we’ll be back.

A real review **

Pros: the food is seasoned well, not bland at all

Cons: you will wait forever til it makes you question if they forgot about you and your food. We sat down and just wait and waited no one came to give us water or anything, until we asked. We had to ask them to take our order. We order baba ganoush with bread,as an appetizer and it never until we asked about and the only waiter had no idea what we were talking about. It finally came and it was very cold and the bread was hard to even pull apart. We ordered the mix grill platter which was seasoned well it came with grill chicken, lamb ( which was so hard to chew, it was well, well well done) and shrimp with rice and sides of dips but it was barely warm, and lamb hattash, which was barely warm. Since we waited over an hr and half for food with 2 toddlers cranky to eat we didn’t say anything. The service is very very slow it’s basically non existent. We didn’t have any plates to eat off of, no extra water, etc.
Save yourself the frustration of being hungry and cranky from being hungry. Go where you will get served.

The place was empty, one or two tables at most. No music or tvs playing. It was very quiet.
The experience is not worth coming here.
