Maria’s Tortas in Stoney Creek is seriously one of the best Mexican spots around. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I had a loaded bowl with rice, lettuce, pico de gallo, corn, guac, cheese, salsa, and their amazing creamy sauce on top — everything tasted authentic and perfectly seasoned.
The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were balanced, and you can tell they put care into every dish. The crunchy chips on top were a great touch!
Friendly service, clean place, and great value for the portion size. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Mexican food in Stoney Creek.

Delicious! Ordered take out for the first time and the gentlemen who took our order was helpful. Will definitely order here again. I would like to eat there next time. Portions were good.
There were 3 of us and we couldn’t finish it.
We chose chicken quesadilla, birra tacos, beef taco kit, an order of rice, refried beans and Mexican corn. Everything was delicious even at home. I can imagine eating it there, even better if that’s possible.

Food is delicious Tex-Mex flavor with option of different spice level. We ordered Wet Barrito & Chimichanga. Both were vegetarian. Their Mangolada is a unique ✨️

This spot has quickly become my go-to for brunch! Not only is the food delicious—authentic Mexican flavors with a fresh twist—but their hours of operation are so much better than other restaurants in the area. It’s such a relief to find a brunch place that doesn’t make you rush or stress about narrow serving times. Whether you’re an early bird or rolling in later, they’ve got you covered. Great food, friendly service, and super convenient hours—highly recommend!

Food was amazing. I stopped here after seeing it on social media. My only problem was I couldn’t order one of everything. I had 3-4 different things with the enchiladas being my favourite. I’m going to be back next time Im in the area for sure

This place is legit if you are craving an authentic Mexican cuisine. EVERYTHING is good and this place is always busy everyday especially during lunch and dinner times. Its not un common for line ups especially during the weekends. The food is a 10. The great thing about this place is they have pictures on the wall when you walk in explaining whats what on the menu so your not intimidated by the menu (it can be intimidating in your not familiar with authentic Mexican food). The staff and servers who bring your food to your table are very welcoming and will answer any of your questions. Food wise they have it all including various Mexican deserts, various Mexican drinks including bottled Coke from Mexico which is a thing (bottle Coke from Mexico hits different if your a Coke enthusiast). They also have like a mini Bodega store where you can buy Mexican various Mexican snacks and stuff like that. In regards to parking, that’s the only negative as they just don’t have enough parking to accommodate the hords of people thats always there which just shows how good this place is. Good thing is there is a side street right off the restaurant you can park down. They also do take out as I noticed allot of taķe out orders going out too which is another good sign. Overall its a local gem to have such a great restaurant in this community. This place could easily have a Michelin star and would rival any Mexican restaurant you’d find in downtown Toronto if not better than. For anyone going to Niagara Falls from outside Hamilton, its not a bad idea to stop by as this place could also be a destination restaurant as well which is not uncommon from what I hear.

It’s a shame to have to give this review. We have ordered take out multiple times since Covid and the food has always been top tier. Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience in person this past long weekend. Service started off strong. Despite how busy it was due to Valentine’s Day, the line to order was quick. We sat as soon as we ordered and got our apps within 10-15 min. We ordered their Valentine’s Day tray of tacos special as well, but after 45 min to almost an hour we did not receive our tray, even though a handful of customers who came after us ate and left within that timeframe. When my husband asked the front desk about our order, there was no apology for the wait. All was said was that it was coming. At this point, the tray has not even been prepared. Adding to that, a customer who ordered a tray after us received theirs before ours. We then proceeded to wait another 15 min for our order, honestly ready to get a refund and leave. When the waitress finally brought our tray to us, she was not as friendly as she was when we first got our apps, there was still no acknowledgement for our very late order and inconvenience. It’s such a shame because we are satisfied with the quality and taste of the food, however the service was very disappointing. It changed our overall experience. Hoping for better and friendlier service next time, if we decide to dine in.

Tacos were adequately packed with a good amount of cheese, double tortilla. Flavour is very subtle all around. Good texture. Consomé doesn’t have much meat if at all. I would like if they gave a bigger slice per lime and gave one lime slice per taco as it serious needs that flavour shock. Doesnt taste bad at all, its pretty good but very subtle flavours. Probably slightly above medium tier versus all the birria tacos I’ve had. I’m visiting Hamilton so I’m not sure what the competition is out here but falls to slightly above average in Toronto. Average size taco.
The cucumbers were an interesting touch with tajin I assume.
The green sauce was veeery good. Great taste, slight spice. Very watery though so not the typical green sauce I’m used to with tacos but well worth the change.

Excellent authentic Mexican food! Great portion sizes. You definitely leave feeling full. Everything I’ve tied from here has been amazing! The Quesabirria and churros are my favorite! Friendly & fun atmosphere and welcoming staff. Definitely check this place out.
