Great Mexican place. Was a little worried about service at first because when you walk in no one greets you at the front. Someone just hollered across the restaurant asking how many and pointed at a table. But the service was actually great. Our server was very attentive and nice. Food was fantastic and the margarita was strong.

The food is good but a little high on the price. The salsa and queso are average. The service staff is attentive. There’s no hostess stand so you’re waiting to be seen when you walk in. Staff is jovial but can come off to others as loud or abrasive. (They yell across other tables to address you.)

Food is great! I have gotten two of the lunch specials. Excellent portions and always hot and fresh. I love the additional chips and salsa. However I’m highly disappointed with the service. Both times I ordered in advance. Being on my lunch break I want to be in and out. I order and they give me an estimated time. I clock out for my lunch break and head to Maria’s (after estimated wait time is up) to wait an additional 15 minutes in restaurant where I was hardly acknowledged. Please hire some extra staff as I saw an entire family waiting confused at the front door as well. Otherwise great spot!

Unfortunately, we came on a Monday at lunch and the service did not even qualify as bad, it was virtually nonexistent. It didn’t take long to be seated, but that was the peak of our service. After 90 minutes, we had to hunt someone down to get our check and it took over 10 minutes for us to get anyone to recognize that we were standing up front wanting to pay. I would guess that their service isn’t always like this and the food is good enough to have us try again. But, I wonder, if the service is like this on occasion, how many people would have simply walked out in frustration.
