Lively place which is visually lovely!! Great artwork and fantastic ceilings with lights! Went on a Saturday night around 6 and very thankful we had a reservation. When we left two hours later there were still people pouring in!
We started with guac which was delicious and fresh- chips were an unspectacular but the flavors in the guac hid it well. House margarita was large and good- could have been better-but still decent for the price. I had the combo platter which included a taco, tostada, enchilada and tamale along with beans and rice. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious (still good reheated the next day). Service could have been more attentive but not taking off a star for it because the food was that good!
Definitely utilize the valet- parking is tricky.

The food is phenomenal and the service is impeccable. The place is incredibly clean and the portions especially the lunch portions are huge!! The family that runs this place really takes pride in what they do and serving customers – you can tell!!

We ordered the loaded burrito and regular burrito.
Not only was the burrito tiny but there was literally almost 0 steak. I’m not surprised this place is dead and they don’t even serve complimentary chips which literally cost .50 cents yeah if you’re looking for great Mexican food free chips and huge portions go to Sammies in Elgin. Why is Sammie’s packed wall to wall? Because the portions are huge for the same price as Maria’s mini burrito . I won’t be going back.

I throughly enjoyed this place! First off, Blanca the waitress greeted us as soon as we walked in and seated us in a booth right away. This place is attached to a Hot Pot restaurant so she asked before seating us which one we were here for (had no idea that the restaurants actually have a space open that connects the two). Service was great – Blanca was on top of everything! She informed us that the restaurant was under new management and that the current menu didn’t have the full selection that it would have on the menu being delivered Saturday but that they already had all the items they could cook. She suggested things like enchiladas, mole, carne asada, and other items. Hubby went with the carne asada which he said was the best he’s had – cooked a perfect medium rare. I had the chicken enchiladas in green sauce and YUM! Tortillas were packed with chicken and the chicken had a good amount of flavor. I also really enjoyed the rice.
We also got the churros and it was the perfect ending to a really great meal and time here. We will definitely be back!

Place is amazing. Food is great & the service is awesome. You’re noticed the minute you walk in and your attended right away. They have slots if you like to gamble a bit & they make amazing amazing drinks here. If you can’t handle your liquor.. they do have water juices & pop. Blanca is amazing. She made sure everything was up to par and made sure you liked everything. Go try them out!

Ordered 6 tacos that were so greasy they fell apart when you pick them up , one of them was completely wrong. There was no flavor and the Queso was a solid brick of cheese, I wouldn’t call this Mexican at all

Our usual Fire Burrito was closed for Good Friday. So we came here. We had chicken tacos, and burritos. Chicken was very dry, no flavor. The rice was very good. Service was good , way over price. $17 for 3 tacos with rice and refried beans. Friday night , 6:00om and just 3 other people in the restaurant. Owned by Asian people still? Meals severely lacked authentic flavors. Disappointed. Never will go back. Two stars because the waitress was terrific.
