We tried Maria’s on a late afternoon – food was good, place was clean and servce was spot on. Salad bar was “fresh” with a variety of chilled items and crisp lettuce. Wife ordered veggie pizza and 1 trip to salad bar while I ordered the New England Clam Chowder and lasagna with salad bar. Let’s just say the clam chowder did not agree with my recipe. While delicious, Lasagna tart tomato paste taste did not come close to my wife’s Italian recipe. Wife said veg pizza was good and I tasted crust which I liked and brought a few slices back to hotel for later snack. Maria’s menu had lots of food choices, so “we’ll be back” to try something else.

I was so hesitant to come dine here. It was storming so places with nice views wasn’t an option.
Came here because all the restaurants here have bad reviews so might as well try this with all the options. I was kind of in the mood for pizza, needed somewhere with soup for my toddler.
He enjoyed the clam chowder. My husband liked their chicken soup they had featured.
We didn’t try their salad bar so not sure about that.
We got a medium pizza half pepperoni and half with pineapple. I thought the pizza was great.
We also ordered the kids Mac and cheese for my toddler. It was a large portion that came with fries.
I was pleasantly surprised by the restroom!! It was so spacious and THEY HAD A KIDS CHANGING table. Out of 3 places we’ve eaten at… none have had changing tables even though they say “family friendly”
The hostess/server was great. Super nice and attentive.
I would recommend coming here for the pizza. Since that’s all we really tried.

Very clean place. Everyone was friendly and service was quick. We were able to get a table, get our food and drinks, eat, and pay all during 40 minutes. They’re open early and they close late so it’s good at any time. The shrimp scampi, mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread was delicious. The server we had was very kind and on top of things, she always got us refills and checked in to make sure everything was good and if we wanted anything else. She was also knowledgeable on menu items and was able to answer any questions we had. We have been there during breakfast before and the breakfast food was just as delicious and service was good then as well. You get a big portion of food for what you pay for and it’s well worth it. There is plenty of seating as well, whether you want normal sit down tables or a booth sit down area. They’re also very accommodating towards disabled people with service dogs and disabled people in general.

We had lunch here in the shoulder season, after what would be considered the lunch hour, so it wasn’t busy and the service was great. My husband had the veggie calzone, and I had the stuffed shells. We both had a salad from the salad bar. The restaurant was very clean, including the salad bar, which was kept tidy and spotless. Our meals were hot and delicious. The portions were large and filling. The server checked on us several times and was prompt to refill our beverages. I would highly recommend Maria’s.

Maria’s is first class diner food for sure! Ola was super helpful and checked on us frequently. The flounder was huge and perfectly done. Our fried clams plate was huge. The kids taco in da bag did not actually come in a bag, but it was a meal fit for a king, not a kid. The salad bar was fresh and even though it was small, it had enough options. The shrimp was lightly seasoned and steamed to perfection. All in all, the portion sizes were huge, the food was prepared expertly, and everyone left with full stomachs and a smile!

Delicious food. Big portions, so bring your appetite! Friendly waitstaff. The ziti with meatballs was very good. My husband had the smothered chicken sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was great and the onion rings were crunchy and delicious.

I went in today, I felt pretty hungry I was deciding what to eat and I had friend tell me to try this place
I was curious and went in. the hostess was really nice and kind she sat me down in good spot, and was very friendly and very generous with her job good job with founding someone like her she rocking it. I waited not long at all for my server and the lady was very nice I saw many good options on menu and chicken peek my eyes so I chose get that and some orange juice
When I say this server was good she had my orange cold and ready for me the second she left like she was Superman
Not too long afterwards my chicken wings were ready
My eyes pop out in amazement from the beauty of this chicken. I took one bite and I knew. I knew very well this was chicken of the Gods
I had really enjoyed this I had maybe 3 pieces left I could barely stand due how good a meal I jus had
Absolutely loved it and the people there were amazing thank you Maria’s I met chef also and this man deserve props respect and honor amongst his cooking thank you so much buddy for this amazing entree turn meal dinner I will be back soon definitely this was absolutely wonderful just great thank you to the server for your amazing work and time management and I hope the tip I left suffice and the cook, I will be back for them delicious meals sir and the hostess they have cannot compare to anyone she is amazing too please keep her around while I’m

The waitress was very sweet. The salad bar was pretty good. I got the eggplant parm, but couldn’t eat it, it was so bad. They were generous enough to take it off my bill. The steamed shrimp appetizer was good and a decent portion. There were also a lot of flies landing on the table and our food. Idk if that’s to be expected since it is summer time at the beach but I was not a fan.

My husband ordered the fried chicken with 2 sides. I ordered the ziti. The mashed potatoes are instant (pretty common for this style of restaurant). The chicken is ok, the green beans were better than they looked but needed seasoning.
My ziti was lacking on ricotta, but had a moderate level of garlic and mozzarella, so it wasn’t disappointing.
A lot of the restaurants on the island are closed at this time and businesses in general cannot get the help they desperately need. Keep that in mind when dining out.

Great family diner option on Chincoteague. They have parking out front and the restaurant is large. Great for families and groups.
They offer a breakfast buffet for $16.99. You can also order off the menu. We opted to order off the menu. We had two eggs/sausage, a ham and cheese omelet, and a meat lovers omelet. Everything was great and the staff were very friendly.
