Stopped in today to try a cheesesteak based on a friend’s recommendation.
It was a really good cheesesteak, did not disappoint.
I got a side of their pizza sauce that was fantastic also I think a pizza steak is what Ill order next.

Terrible place. Order a pizza, waited 15 minutes, it was disappointing. Frozen dough, super small, pizza sauce was sweet, ground beef was like tomatoes sauce or something, the only good thing about it were the onions. It was a 9″ and I paid $14! I am never going back there!

News flash ..there is a bartender lurking there now who decided on her own to charge me $19 for a drink that included not even a less than a 1/3 cup of Cabernet wine and peach Crown Royal and a splash of OJ that cost me $19 make it make sense. I have been a Maria’s patron for over 15 years and never experienced the charge nor the convo that she turned into a nonsense debate and negative conversation. And if you’re wondering, the question was if you were making somebody a $19 drink would you not let them know? Hey listen this drink is going to cost x y and z. She refused to acknowledge the fact that my question was fair/reasonable in that she could have posed the inquiry with me just to be sure about what I asking for. What’s up with the non-transparency? Ignorance and the nice-nasty. I can’t even give her credit for how she initially treated me, which was in the beginning Fair all of a sudden it turned into. I’m going to charge you an average of $20 for a drink.

We ordered the Beef cheesesteak (wafer), it was overcooked and dry. Also, we got the Italian cold cut sub. Both were on their list of specials. The specials have small French fries and a med fountain drink.
What arrived was a huge amount of fries with the subs. They were hot and fresh, the star of my lunch.
Probably won’t be back.

Worst pizza I’ve had in my life! The crust is like bready cardboard. The tomato sauce is sweet but with no other flavor. The cheese is bland and barely melted. It tastes like imitation cheese. I took two bites and threw it away. The fries were dry, like they were under a heat lamp for who knows how long. I didn’t order anything else so I’m not sure how their wings and subs are but I’m not going back here to find out. There are other places with similar prices yet the food is far, far better.

We used to come here all the time. For 50+years. Now I understand why they have few customers. The pizza was the absolute worst thing. The crust was like shoe leather. We only went there because the best place is Frank’s Pizza, and they were closed because of a event. You may have to wait longer at Frank’s. But it is worth it. Dave Portnoy is right! Frank’s is the best for all there food. Won’t ever go back to Maria’s.

Pretty good cheesesteak has a good flavor. I wish I had a little bit more meat for the price(that’s what she said)…. Also traveling here from small town Maryland and first thing you see on the bulletproof or Covid glass (couldn’t decide which one ) was the words boom boom . But all around nice place nice people .
