Called 10 mins to closing on a slow Monday to support the business and “asked” if they we’re still taking orders for take out as I was on my way home from work and would’ve been there in 2. The young girl hangs the phone up. I waited to get a call back..I drove by of course it’s a slow Monday..a simple answer was fine. I support because my family is of Mexican heritage, rude. By the way it was just for pozole so imagine how low maintenance that would’ve been..good luck with turning business away like that so you can start closing procedure early

I have been coming here for well over a decade! A little hole in the wall! Love the waitress! If you want real authentic Mexican food, you need to come here. The chimichanga is the best in South Jersey!!

My job takes everywhere. Was working in the area at a boat factory. Wanted some Mexican food. But I was still dressed in work clothes and kind of dirty.

That did not matter here.

See, I’ve spent too much time working in the Rio Grande valley in South Texas. Plus extensive time in the industrial area of Monterrey, Saltillo, and Mexico City.

What I like about this place is it reminds me of the non-pretentious blue collar places to eat in my travels down south. Yes this place is Americanized some, but it sticks with it’s roots.

I was welcomed and handled a menu. Was told to let them know when I was ready. They set out some chips and salsa.

Ordered Chicken Fajitas. It’s what I always order.

It did not disappoint. Prwwtnatuon good, food quality excellent. Served hot. Flavored fantastic. While I would like more “spice” it surprised me for being New Jersey. They took a stand on flavor and I respect it.

If you are looking for solid food and a casual atmosphere where you can just eat…. This is it.

I would gladly recommend this place to anyone and know I will return whenever I work in the area again.

Have been looking for a small mexican restaurant to add to our ‘favorite places to go to’ list and this is the place. The food was favorable, the server friendly, the portions large, prices quite reasonable and it had a nice atmosphere to it. If you are looking for a small family business with good food, stop in.

If you are craving fresh, reasonably priced, flavor filled authentic mexican food food and are either in Absecon, NJ or on the way to Atlantic City, NJ, then definately add Mariachi’s Mexican Resturant as a place to stop by at. The portion sizes of their ground beef chimichanga and chicken chimichanga were generous, both were served with a good helping of rice and beans. Plus, everything tasted like it has been home made. Delicious! And if like me, you crave something a little sweet after the meal, their three milk cake (pastel de tres leches) is to die for. It will probably be one of the freshest and tastiest cakes that you’ll ever have and will definatively make you want to come back for more, even if it’s just for the three-milk cake and coffee.

The food is good. We’ve had tacos and quesadillas, they were tasty. The chips are very good, and my wife really likes the salsa. But I can’t recommend this place, because they are charging higher prices than what is on the menu. When I brought that up to them, they pointed out the handwritten note on the front of the menus that calls out that prices are higher than what is on the menu. But they have not updated the menu. They also charge a credit card fee, and at least they’re up front about that, but I hate when businesses do that.
