The best Mexican food we have ever had. The Nachos Supreme were exquisite. My son ordered the enchiladas entree, my daughter ordered the fajitas Quesodilla, and my wife ordered the chicken fajitas entree. Every item was fresh and delicious. Service was quick, helpful, and extremely nice. 10/10. This place is a must if you want somewhere new to try. Parking can be a hassle, but we’ll worth it.

Small place, but big on flavor. The food is super fresh and tastes amazing! Way better than those chain Mexican restaurants. I got the fajita tacos, and my husband got the fajita quesadilla. I can’t wait to go back and try another dish.

I’ll start by saying I’m a HUGE connoisseur of Mexican food! The steak quesadilla was insanely good lol so good we went back for lunch again the next day! The queso we purchased to go with it was EPIC when we poured it on the quesadilla too! Posted a pic showing the inside of the quesadilla. The steak inside was perfect, and the romain lettuce was a nice touch! Next time we’re in Tallahassee we know exactly where we’re eating for sure

I’ve visited this restaurant many times now over the past couple of years, and it literally never disappoints. I’ve tried numerous menu items, and loved all of them! My faves are anything with carnitas, but especially the sope. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant, and the food is super delicious. Definitely one of my fave spots in town!

*Update a few years later* – everything is consistently good here, no matter what I’ve ordered. We’ve learned to arrive early for lunch because they get so busy, and it’s easy to see why! This spot remains one of the best in town for delicious Mexican food.

I had a chicken flauta and a brisket flauta served “dirty”. It was excellent. The cashier/server was awesome. I did not get her name, but she was very engaging. This was my first time here and I enjoyed it greatly.

Great food. Tasted good. Fair prices.

Service was clunky. Ordered to go chicken tacos. Only to have to ask about them approximately forty minutes later… only to learn they were somehow missing or never made. The waitress was very nice but seemed disorganized. Would recommend only if you have the time to wait.

The atmosphere was nice, the service was great, the drinks were good, the food was great, the restaurant was very clean, the prices were very reasonable, and the location was perfect. We had a great time here with our daughter.

Amazing food and service! Steak&guac tacos are amazing as are their steak quesadillas. Their key lime pie/layer cake is awesome also and I don’t even like key lime pie. Only thing to keep in mind is that the food is essentially homemade and it does take some time to get your food.

Picture this: It’s a Friday night and you’re craving Mexican. You think about that place on Monroe that’s always packed when you peer in. Why not?

You get there and stare up at a massive digital 5-screen menu. Lots of options. You see the one and only California Burrito on the menu and it instantly brings you back to a vacation in San Diego. That’ll do. You don’t expect the burrito to be as good as it was in California, but if it’s even 50, hell, 33% as good as it was in California, you’ll be satisfied.

10 minutes later the one party in front of you is done ordering. You order the burrito, one fountain drink and 2 tacos for your girlfriend. The burrito is… 16.75. 19.75 if you count the 3 dollar watered down fountain drink. You think wow, a bit pricey for a burrito, but surely it’ll come with like fries or chips, and it’s surely gonna be tasty.

You pay and find a seat. Cozy atmosphere, excited for the food. To their credit, the food comes out pretty quick. However, much to your dismay, there are no chips or fries, just one burrito on the plate. Okay, the burrito better be good then. You try to pick it up and a fat glob of guac falls out. Your first thought is wow, they couldn’t even wrap this thing right for 17 dollars. Your second thought is wow, they couldn’t even toast the burrito after wrapping it or warm up the tortilla before wrapping? Your third thought (post-first bite) is wow, somebody messed up this batch of guac. What a salty mess. And I love salt!! This was unpleasant! Terrible structural integrity, terrible seasoning, terrible texture!! There were like 2 fries in there total. “They must be good fries at least!” You think. Sadly, they are neither crispy nor well seasoned. Total let down.

I will say my girlfriend’s tacos were good and the dishes on other tables looked good. Maybe burritos just aren’t their thing but man, if they’re gonna be that bad, what’s even the point of having them on the menu.

I’m writing this review to let all the public know to not waste your money here, or if you don’t heed this warning, at least stay away from the burritos. Don’t waste your time. Go to Chile y Chilis, Taqueria Miranda, El Jalisco or man, even Chipotle or Surcheros if you’re looking for a burrito.

In three words: mediocre. overpriced. underwhelming.

Super tasty. Super friendly. This small family run spot is a breath of fresh air for the Mexican food scene in Tallahassee. Everything is fresh and loaded with standalone flavors.

Their chips, salsa and guacamole is delicious. You can’t beat this as a starter. The tacos are excellent. The carne asada and Pollo adsado sing. I did not much care for the al pastor, but it was not bad and certainly different. The enchiladas are amazing. Wow. You definitely can’t go wrong with one of their big dang burritos or a lovely quesadilla either. Great food!

Overall, my experience was one of pure enjoyment . Give it a go if you like real deal Mexican.
