I rarely leave negative reviews because I order from here often and have never had a bad experience—until today.
I ordered a pizza and when I opened the box, one entire side of the pizza was completely soaked in oil. It was literally wet. I had to throw half of it away. Spending $25 for something I couldn’t even eat was extremely frustrating.
What made the situation worse was the response when I called. The gentleman who answered was very nonchalant and acted as if the issue was not a big deal. I was not looking for an argument—just some acknowledgement that the order was not acceptable.
As a regular customer who has never complained before, the lack of concern was disappointing. I hope the management takes customer feedback more seriously going forward.

Wow, I barely come to the city and my boyfriend convinced me we try a new place, I saw Maria D’S and thought it looked nice, such nice people, and the food was great, I got a huge slice of cheese pizza for $3 and some change, I would recommend and come back again! My boyfriend got a cheesesteak and loved it as well! 10/10 recommend!

Came here for the Cheesesteak sandwich and not the atmosphere. The sandwich did not disappoint. The picture does not do the sandwich justice as you can’t see the other ingredients. A very good sandwich. The flavor of the meat was one of the best I have had for cheesesteak sandwich.

Maria D’s is a sub shop. The standard of judgment for sub shops is different than the standard for restaurants.
Maria D’s is clean and neat. You can see right into the kitchen. It’s clean and neat. Our hot food was prepared promptly. My eggplant Parmesan sub was delicious.
There’s street parking outside. Spaces are difficult to find. The shop is wheelchair accessible.

I visited here last March. It’s still the best pizza I’ve had in Baltimore. I still talk about it a year later, and recommend it to my friends who ask for restaurants in the Fed Hill area. This pizza sorta scratched an itch for me. Slices were huge, thick, and had a great balance of cheese with other toppings. The crust was crunchy, but the dough was soft. They have extra parmesan and garlic to augment your slice if you need. Service was quite fast, and the prices weren’t too high for a single slice. I got the BBQ Chicken slice and it was phenomenal for BBQ lovers.

Maria D’s has become one of my favorite spots to eat in Baltimore. The cheesesteak on pita rivals any you’ll find in Philly, and the pizza is one of the best I’ve found in Maryland. The food is always served hot and fresh. Although they’re always busy, the service is relatively quick.

The other day I was craving onion rings and I had heard good things about this place but I had never gotten food there myself so I ordered from here. This time all I got was onion rings but they were so good. I am 100% planning on ordering from here again and I will certainly be trying many things on this menu. The onion rings were perfectly breaded and fried. Really nice. They had the perfect crunch and the onion actually broke apart When I bit it instead of stringing out like so many others do. They were delicious and I highly recommend.

This is what authentic city pizza tastes like. The slices are big and the dough is the perfect thickness, not too thick like every other place in Fed Hill that tastes undercooked and too hard. These slices fold easily and it tastes fantastic.
