Radio station HIGHLY recommended and here is my opinion. Out of town, travelled all over the US/International.. Here on business when visited this place.

Pro: Good Atmosphere (no doubts), clean, good music, clean (table clean up, very quick cleaning once someone leaves), special Jalapeño margaritas (OMG good, VERY impressed). Food we got was good/great (this is based on what we ordered). Salsa cone with regular tomato salsa, you’d have to recommend the other 3. Chips are good/crunch. Service was very tentative and always looking over if we needed anything.

Cons: Parking! front entrance limited, not sure if you can park at other business building (after hours) but its limited/space. Outdoor, i’d recommend a cover side for a more private coverage and a-little more outdoor lights, some music wouldn’t hurt. The Happy Hour drinks, needs work for sure (frozen margarita ok, but rocks needs a-lot of improvement). A BIG disappointment was the sopapillas, terrible tortilla was too tick (to much masa) the way it was cooked (maybe the oil) gave it a bad taste, not even the powder sugar could cover it up (sorry guys, that was not sopapillas), the honey was good.

Real question: would I return, that will be a yes!

Maria Bonita Mexican Restaurant & Cantina is clearly a local favorite. We had about a 20–30 minute wait, and parking took a little patience (there are multiple lots, but it’s busy). Totally worth it.

The interior is adorable—warm lighting, rustic brick, and charming woven bird-nest décor hanging from the ceiling that gives the space a cozy, artisanal vibe.

The margaritas were excellent. I had La Patrona, which was smooth and perfectly balanced. My husband ordered La Tóxica, a spicy margarita with jalapeño-infused tequila and prickly pear—sweet, spicy, and delicious.

Food was solid. The Queso Fundido came in a cute cast-iron pan and hit the spot. The Maria Bonita Combination impressed with tender beef fajitas and cheesy enchiladas (flour tortillas were slightly dry). My Enchiladas Verdes had great flavor, though the chicken was a bit dry and could’ve used more salsa verde.

Service really stood out—Byron was friendly, patient, and welcoming. Bonus perks: happy hour daily from 3–6 PM, mariachi on Wednesdays and Fridays, and a DJ on Saturdays.

We’ll definitely be back, especially for margaritas and happy hour.

Starting off with the atmosphere…..gorgeous. Visually eye catching. I sat at the bar where I was served by Benji making my cocktails and Lorena taking my food order. Both amazing. Benji made very tasty and satisfying drinks. Lorena gave me great food suggestions according to my taste preference. I was not disappointed. I felt very spoiled on my visit. The attentiveness they both provided me will definitely keep me coming back.

I don’t know where to start. The service was amazing. The drinks were amazing. The food was excellent and amazing appetizers were amazing. The dessert was also amazing. And David and his mariachi band are definitely what they sound like. They are a very amazing group of gentlemen.

The wait time was minimal, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Even though the place was busy, it remained pleasantly quiet, which I really appreciated. As a regular coffee drinker, I’d say the coffee could use a little improvement, but everything else was enjoyable. They also offer a private area for special occasions like birthdays, and baby showers. This was my second visit, and it continues to be a decent spot for families to gather and enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner together. The children’s menu is limited,l but available, and there’s a good variety of alcoholic beverages for adults. No senior menu available.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Maria Bonita! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Special thanks to our server, Daisy, who was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our meal. Her friendliness and excellent service truly made us feel welcome.
The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the tortilla soup, which was very flavorful and a perfect start to the meal. We also tried the mango and spinach salad, and it was outstanding!
Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food were great. We highly recommend María Bonita if you’re looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine.

The service was very good the atmosphere and food was phenomenal. For sure coming back. I ordered the pozole and it was very authentic just like in Mexico. We also ordered the fajitas very tasty and soft. My daughter ordered the shrimp tacos and they didn’t disappoint.

We are very finicky about our foods and especially our fajitas and margaritas.

The experience here between the service the ambience and the quality of the food is out of this world and I had to let them know that we had our favorite place in our hometown in sylmar California and of course I can’t tell them what I’m about to say here but this is our favorite place for Mexican food especially fajitas and margaritas!

Cannot be more grateful we came with family and we were so satisfied strongly recommend this place.

It is a little bit loud due to the construction time and the joyous participation of everybody in the restaurant.

Other than that and that wasn’t a complaint it’s just a little more info for those who might be sensitive to sound this place was fantastic!

My first time going to Maria’s Bonita and I was really craving a piña colada. Since I’m pregnant, I asked the bartender Albert if he could make it without alcohol, and he did an excellent job! It was perfectly blended, creamy, and full of flavor. Honestly so refreshing and exactly what I was craving. The presentation was beautiful especially the flower, you can tell Albert really cares about making the drinks right, I’ll definitely be back!

W eonly came for the Taylor Swift themed brunch for the release of her album. I have to tell you, they went all out with the decorations, dj miss Genna fire, a bracelet making station, spin the wheel and a photo booth. This is why we decided to eat here, for the girly vibes. I don’t usually eat Mexican food for brunch but I got the egg Benedict with birria. Our server was amazing and they were super busy..I would definitely come back for another special event. Thank you for having this event.
