my friend and i went on a thursday night. luckily for us, i made reservations. even on a weekday night it was quite lively here. i wonder if it would’ve been slightly less packed had we gone on a random monday or tuesday. we were seated on their rooftop patio, but in the very back near their garden/plants, so it was actually quite secluded and was a great spot for us to talk and catch up. if you wanted to be surrounded by others, the rest of their rooftop patio and indoor dining is quite nice too, but a lot less quiet (neither good or bad, just an observation). our server, anthony, was very helpful and friendly, and made sure to make my friend (who just moved to la) feel welcomed to the usa. anthony made great recommendations, and my friend and i decided to share all of our plates. we both agreed that everything we ate was well-balanced, flavorful, and just the right amount of food. for me, my personal highlights were the yellowtail crudo (which tastes so fresh and just melts in your mouth), and the chocolate flourless torte.

I went here for an work event. They had a nice private balcony where we all were able to meet, have cocktails and talk for a bit. My favorite cocktails that I tried was passion which reminded me of the tropics and cucumber paloma which was super refreshing. Once we sat down we were served family style and I got to try quite a few dishes. The bread with baba ganoush, yellowtail crudo, and wild arugula salad and charred broccoli were served first and all tasted fantastic. After that we were served grilled prawns, king salmon and pork chop. All were very delicious and had just the right amount of dressing. Our final plate that arrived before desert was bombolotti which hit the spot and filled me up to where I was full. The don’t know the name of the desert but it was a super sweet cake that had chocolate and caramel taste.

I was starving and went over to Margot with some friends, the location is convenient to where I was at the time. Initial thought when I got off the elevator was how nice the hostess was, he was super inviting and very accommodating.
