Margarona’s Cantina is a great spot if you’re looking for fresh, flavorful Mexican food in a welcoming setting. The food was good and tasted fresh, with every dish clearly made with care. The staff truly stood out—super friendly, attentive, and happy to make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. And most importantly, the margaritas were absolutely delicious—well-balanced, refreshing, and easily a highlight of the visit. A group of us ordered for pick up at work today . Well we did separate order I ordered the taco and chalupa dinner meal. Well I got my order the food was not warm at all. I got the taco but didn’t get the chalupa which we called they said come get it .When speaking to them they asked what meat said beef. Went to pick it up to get something that’s as definitely not a chalupa . Whatever it was didn’t even have meat . Definitely want be ordering here again

Place was busy but had ton of employees walking around. Immediately ordered all the food and drinks when they walked up. Wife’s soda was flat and figured well known in Cullman if most others were ordering water and tea. Noticed a couple of people asked to leave due to wait time on food and then we figured out why. Took an hour to get sons chicken fingers and fries they charged 8 dollars for- was absolutely disgusting and son wouldn’t eat. Cheese dip was lumpy and wife couldn’t eat fajitas- tasted like they were on a dirty grill. Way too expensive for quality of food. We are from Jasper with many good Mexican food options, they blow this place out of the water even though this place has won best Mexican in cullman many years, we can’t see why. Disappointed it seems like they don’t have a good flow in kitchen, it felt like they must work on one table at a time in the kitchen and noticed other tables with ticket issues along with missing food. Heard them mention they were charged for things they didn’t order and couple at large table didn’t get what they ordered. I would recommend all those in Cullman to make the drive to Cabo’s Los Reyes or Pepitos in Jasper. We ordered the trio fajitas with extra tortillas and were also disappointed in steak and shrimp. Only had 4 shrimp even though it cost more than the other options- Los Reyes in Jasper gives 8 prices on skewers and is similarly priced with faster service even though they get busier. Maybe just an off night but wouldn’t come back .

Combination plates were microwaved to reheat them, making the burritos chewy and way too hot inside, however my chili relleno was cold in the center. Floor was slick and everything gross. Staff were friendly and kind though, but taking our order took around 10 mins.
*Update- This place Made us sick. I’m still up at 4am with “stomach trouble” and writing this update . Avoid this place like the plague. wish I could give it negative 20 stars.

The service wasn’t good. The meat in the taco and burrito tasted funny. The refried beans and rice were good. There was one girl working there that stayed on her phone the whole time instead of helping. It’s been awhile since we’ve been there. And looks like it will be a long time before going back if we do.

The food was delicious. However the SERVICE was TERRIBLE. Kimberly was the waitress and from the get go she was snobby. She acter as though we was an inconvenience just being there. Not one time did she smile. Then when she brought the ticket I asked her to split the ticket but instead she still tried to hand me the ticket as one. When I went to pay the ticket and she snatched the money out of my hand. This is only my third time eating here and everyone was very nice Except Kimberly. My only complaint besides her, are the cushions on the bench seats. The cushions need to be replaced. There are so cracked and dried out that they was hurting the back of my legs.
