Food was burnt!!! I mentioned it a few times, waitress just laughed it off. Food was terrible. I’m pretty sure the queso has valveeta in it and if it doesn’t, I’ve never seen orange queso! Don’t waste your money $190 wasted. Chips taste like old oil! Shrimps were burnt . Mexican corn with some type of BBQ flavoring.

OK, so it was a quiet night at Margaritas. We were sat right away, and we were given chips and salsa and we both ordered Sam Adam’s drafts. Mine came with a 4 inch head, so basically I got a 2/3 full beer. I ordered the steak chimichanga with the Pico salsa on the side. My girl ordered the the regular chicken chimichanga. As you can see from the photos my salsa was NOT on the side but right on top of it. I don’t do a lot of bad reviews usually, but this place was not great. Service was mediocre at best. We ordered the churos and ice cream for dessert. The churos were way overdone and hard. Food tasted ok, but nothing else about this place was. We asked our waitress for the bill and it it was like 15 or 20 miutes before she came back with it then another 20 minutes until she came to take our card overall wouldn’t recommend Margaritas at all

Good food, nice staff. Easy parking behind the building in city lot. Many other places to visit nextdoor. They seemed pretty busy but didn’t take long to get our food. Staff stopped by to check on things, but didn’t pester us. Our very shy waitress was also very nice and did a good job.

I didn’t have a great time but that’s entirely my own fault, I should have ordered within my dietary restrictions. However, the queso fries were the best thing I’ve ever eaten, no lie.

Music was far too loud we had to move tables and then ask for it to be turned down. Food came out pretty quick. Appetizer came out 1 minute before the food. The appetizer was the street corn in a bowl, it was super greasy and didn’t taste good. The enchiladas plate came out with a bunch of liquid on the bottom making everything soggy. The rice and beans were both undercooked as well and still crunchy. The fajitas were fine. I complained to the server and they said yeah that’s fair and then said they would put a discount on the ticket. We didn’t want new food we were too hungry, but they also did not offer. Y’all, the discount was so low the server had to apologize about it being company policy before I saw it to prepare me. It was a $3.97 discount on a 62 dollar bill. It was so insultingly low I’m never going back. 15% discount on each complained item is ridiculous

Paid $60 for three burritos, we only got two of them and one of them is half the size of the other, AND they forgot to give us our 3rd burrito. The two burritos in the photo are the same burrito by the way Definitely avoid this place for takeout.

Bad experience, food terrible. I don’t know what happened to this place, used to go here all the time in college. They ran out of chips at 6pm on Saturday night, table salsa is canned now instead of fresh.. it was always fresh before.
I ordered a vegetarian burrito, instead of the expected Mexican flavor, it was a weird Italian flavor with spaghetti sauce. Spaghetti sauce on Mexican food?? YUCK! It was covered with about a head of lettuce (???). Nobody wants that, I didn’t order a salad, I wanted cheese on it!
Also, the waitress said they had no sugar for the ice tea. So at this point they were out of chips and sugar – but that’s not all. My boyfriend didn’t finish his food, either, he complained about the spaghetti sauce flavor and it not tasting Mexican.
I was looking forward to the fried ice cream so we did order that. It was also different (pretzel coating??) It was ok, but again the waitress came back wait yet another issue, there were no spoons??? what?? so she brought FORKS for the ice cream!
The music was so loud we couldn’t converse. The waitress was in sweatpants and sweatshirt. On a Saturday night it was vacant except for the bar. Toilet in poor repair. Bankruptcy waiting to happen.
This place is an absolute horror show. AVOID.

I grew up eating at Margaritas, and now we go every year in July for our family reunion, as a family tradition as well as for birthdays and anniversaries. We went this past Friday evening, making a reservation for 6:30 pm ahead of time for a party of 8. It was fairly busy, but still had open tables. Unfortunately our experience was terrible this year. All three of our bowls of chips were extremely stale. We asked for new chips, and those did seem better as they were warm and not stale. No big deal. After our server took our food and drink order, though, she never came back to our table until after we were eating our food, and we had to go to the host stand to ask her to come to our table. We had empty waters, empty drinks, and zero napkins. A food runner or manager brought our food, and our server never checked on our food or came back to ask us if we needed anything. She had 3 tables in the room we were in besides us, and she came in and checked on each of the other tables and did not visit ours. Three of us ordered fajitas, and two were cold when we got them. The quality of the food has significantly gone down. Our server forgot to bring out the two children’s drinks. We finished eating and waited so long for our server to come back that our parents had to go find her a second time to give us our check. I understand that restaurants may be busy and understaffed, but a server not returning to a table during a 90 minute period without being sought out is unacceptable. This was a special occasion for us, and we still tipped our server over 20%, but we’re hesitant to come back next year.

My friends and I have been here few times in hopes for a good experience at trivia night, however this will be our last time due to extremely poor service. Our server was Gabby. She took our drink orders but then continued to help other tables who came in after us with their food orders. Our drinks were ready at the bar and she instead texted on her phone in front of them for minutes and still didn’t bring them. Actually continued to bring out other peoples drinks. We had to ask another server for take our food order because we waited a very long time. The larger table that came in after us got their food before our order was even taken. We had to do the same with waters after asking our server multiple times. We eventually had to ask for a pitcher from a different server who brought it immediately because we were tired of having to wait. We were never checked on or asked if our food was good or if we need anything else. Other servers brought out our food, she didn’t know what check went to who and we had to pass them out to each other. She asked each one of us at the end what we had ordered and then proceeded to hand out an incorrect bill. We had our old plates on the end of the table stacked nicely to be removed and they sat there the entire time we were there leaving us little to no room. We have had worse times with this server but it was very busy so it was a bit more understandable. This was the slowest trivia night we have ever been too. I wouldn’t be leaving this review if it wasn’t necessary but after having multiple terrible times with this server, we will not be back.

What did you do to Margaritas? We’ve been going there for decades and never had a bad experience or bad food. Your best ever salsa is gone to be replaced with the cheapest industrial salsa that you could find. The food tastes different, is not as tasty and was not hot. Some of the chips were soggy. I’m sorry but we will never be back. All the good stuff is gone. No kids menu. WTH people, who is running this place into the ground ? Even my grandkids ages 10 & 15 didn’t like it anymore. They used to beg to go to Margarita’s. So sad. no wonder the upstairs and basement were closed (on a Friday Night), which i had never seen before. We came to eat and the music was so loud that we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk. We wasted $70 dollars ! I would like my money back
