We ate at Maredo in Stuttgart and the experience was genuinely good. The service was fast and friendly, and the place has a relaxed but tidy atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy your meal. The steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered them, really tender and flavorful, and the sides were fresh and served hot. The salad bar was clean and well-stocked, which was a nice surprise. The prices felt fair for the quality and the location. Overall, it’s a reliable spot for a straightforward, good steak dinner, and I’d go back without hesitation.

This place must be severely understaffed, because the wait times are outrageous. I’m very adamant about being respectful to wait staff, so I never want to yell to get their attention, but the table next to me saw I had tried to get the waitress’ attention when she walked past me multiple times when I sat there for nearly a half hour with an empty wine glass, so they got her coworker’s attention for me. The waitress was nice, I don’t think this was her fault, just not enough staff, and she did the best she could. There was a large table of people next to me, and I was told the wait times were because of that reason. I not only sat with an empty wine glass for roughly 30 minutes, but it took over an hour to get my steak served to me. The table next to me had already finished eating by the time I got my food, and they got there the same time I did. In the meantime I was offered no bread or another glass of wine while I waited, and I had ordered no appetizer because I didn’t think the service would be so slow. The steak was served to me at a lukewarm temperature, high amount of fat, a little chewy , and a bit overcooked. I ordered medium rare, but a good portion of that steak was definitely medium. The fries were ok, and the grilled vegetables were nothing special. I was so annoyed by that time I didn’t bother ordering a dessert (which I always do if the food is good) and just paid and left. To be fair, a dessert was offered to me for free, which was a kind gesture, but I didn’t want to be in that restaurant anymore. I definitely appreciated one of the glasses of wine being taken off the bill, but even with that the cost was nearly 100 euros for ONE PERSON, 70 euros alone for a mediocre steak maybe worth 20 euros , at best! I’m DEFINITELY never coming back here.

We stopped to eat at this place because we know the chain. I must say that the meat was very good, but maybe it wasn’t the kgs that were written on the menu, it seemed less.
The sandwich is also good, perhaps the staff a little absent and not very friendly. The decoration of the plate with two tomatoes was not so good to look at, even next to the chips.
Maybe there is a little need to take care of the dishes more.
We can certainly stop here again when we pass through Stuttgart, maybe something has changed.

We all got steaks and every single one of them came out cold and severely undercooked. I informed the staff and they tried to upsell me on hot stones so I could cook the steak they didn’t.

Solid steakhouse with decent prices. Steak was good. Salad bowl was ok. Unfortunately the croutons were stone-hard and the potatoe partly burned. Friendly staff. Nice location.

I had steak, wine, garlic bread and salad. It was terrible for the price. My friend had a hamburger and fries with sour sauce. My friend had diarrhea. It was terrible. And we were leaving the next morning. I waited a long time to ask for garlic bread. When no one came, I had to get up and find the waiter. There were three tables occupied including ours, but the service was terrible on the whole.

Restaurant is nice. The service is OK but staff weren’t too interested. They never followed up to check if one wanted anything else or whether the food was any good. Food was very good except the pork tenderloin was very dry. Ribs were fantastic.

Maredo is our favourite! Had Maredo first around 12 years ago and I love it ever since. So sad that they closed down several places in other cities in Germany.

Any order you make will be delivered after 20-30 minutes, that’s if it comes at all! We ordered drinks that did not get delivered until we left, despite reminding 3 different colleagues. Very frustrating experience.
