Falafel plate is so tasty, owner is very sweet and hard working . He personally brought out the plate and tzatziki sauce, garlic sauce on the side. We even got complimentary chicken noodle soup.

The owner is such a sweetheart! He was so welcoming and kind. The food was amazing! I don’t often order falafels because they’re usually very dry. But the falafels here were exquisite! ❤️
I’m definitely going to Mardini’s more often

Probably the best Mediterranean food I’ve had, very reasonably priced with the most amazing service. A kind’ve hidden gem amongst the other Mediterranean places. The overall atmosphere is okay but the food really shines for this place.

This is an amazing place. The chef is incredibly friendly and kind. He even let me try the food before I ordered, which was such a nice touch. The food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. A great find for me here in Menlo Park.

Ive been coming here for a few years, I can’t believe I haven’t done a review yet. This cafe has some of the best food I’ve tasted, the burgers are a decent size and cooked with great care and same goes for the sandwiches. I’ve still not yet tried everything on the menu but plan to. Mardini the cook is an awesome character and always shows hospitality when you step in his cafe.

Mardini’s deli café is already one of my favorites, but I’m giving another five star review because today I tried their new chili and it is delicious. Thank you Mardini for always improving.

Ideally, I would give Mardini’s Deli Cafe a 3.5/5.

Mardini’s Deli is a bit of a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet Menlo Park neighborhood just off Highway 101. They’ve been around for 15 years serving up a mix of American and Mediterranean food, from breakfast to burgers, falafel, and sandwiches.

This place is definitely about the value. My chicken shawarma wrap was only $15, and it was massive – two whole burritos! Easily enough for two meals. Another plus was that the restaurant was completely empty when I went at 9:30 am.

Despite being the only customer, the guy working there (who I think might be the owner?) was super friendly. We chatted while he made my food, which only took about 5-10 minutes. They also offer call-ahead ordering to save time.

Speaking of the food, the chicken shawarma was decent. It wasn’t the most flavorful, but the portion size was huge, and the spicy sauce on the side (which wasn’t actually that spicy) helped liven it up. Based on the owner’s recommendation, I might try the falafel or lamb next time.

Overall, Mardini’s Deli is a good option for a casual bite at a great price. The big portions and friendly service are a plus.

BEST FALAFEL, kindest/most attentive service, and most inviting atmosphere. I dined at several locations in the Palo Alto area, and Mardini’s was by far my favorite experience as a whole. 5 stars all around.
