We visited the Long Island Aquarian as a group of three couples with seven kids, hoping for a nice meal out. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish.

We ordered food for the kids first before ordering for ourselves. The kids’ mac and cheese was just okay, but the chicken fingers were undercooked. Another child ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce and parmigiana cheese on the side, and when the cheese arrived there was a green and blue ball of mold sitting in the parmesan. That alone was extremely concerning.

When it came to the adults’ meals, things didn’t improve. A burger was ordered but we were never asked how we wanted it cooked. We ended up switching it to a chicken sandwich instead. Two chicken parms were ordered, and the chicken cutlets were about palm-sized, which was very underwhelming.

We also asked for crushed red pepper and cut-up red pepper strips, but instead we were brought plain pepper. For a place that presents itself as an Italian/pizza spot, they didn’t even have pizza available, which was surprising and disappointing.

Overall, the experience was frustrating and the quality of the food and service did not meet expectations. Considering the issues we encountered and the fact that we were the only people there, it unfortunately makes sense why the restaurant was empty.
