We put our order in online while the business was open at 7:49p and I received a call that they had to cancel my order because they were “about to close” at 8p. Their website said they are open and google lists them as open at 11p. The least that they could have done was make our pizza and honor the order that already had came through instead of being lazy, cancelling, and attempting to close early.
they told me the would refund my order.. next day nothing and when I called they told me they had forgot to refund it and now it was too late and there was nothing they could do On top of that, the cheese and bread they delivered About an hour and a half later was cold as all hell… it was a half-and-half pizza instead the other half would have been fine. Had it not been cold
The 3 garlic butters ordered were not in the cheese bread. Someone had saw that they exploded and removed them! No one would take responsibility. I am out a shirt and 3 garlic butters. May not be going back.
After waiting 1.5 hours for food delivery (it’s the weekend it’s busy, okay), called to get an order status update. Was told there was only 2 delivery drivers so I could either wait a good amount longer or pick it up myself. I had a family including two hungry kids at home so I decided to just lose the delivery fee and pick it up.
When I get to the location, I am told the delivery driver just took off with our food and was heading to our house. (Yet somehow I beat him back on a one-lane street?) The pizza was cold, we did not get the sauces we ordered, and the pizza barely looked edible with giant air bubbles all over it. In fact we ended up making another run to grab fast food for the kids since they were going to go hungry rather than eat the pizza.
The workers who I interacted with were very nics and apologetic, but that does not mean the experience was not awful. There were only 2 younger employees in the store on a Saturday night and only 1 or 2 delivery drivers (was given conflicting accounts). That is at least part of the problem and is definitely not sustainable.
The quality and taste used to be excellent. They were my favorite take out pizza chain.
I’ve noticed it going downhill over the past year. But tonight was so bad, I felt compelled to share my experience. I ordered a thin crust mushroom and green pepper pizza. It was dry, hardly any sauce, very little cheese, mushrooms definitely from a can, green peppers so sparse almost non existent.
I used to bite into a hot, bubbly cheesy, chewy crust Marco’s pizza with great enjoyment.
I don’t know what has happened to their quality control, but I wouldn’t even think it was the same company now.
I think I’ve only written a negative review
twice ever. This is only the second time.
But this pizza was so bad that after eating a couple pieces, I gave up and just tossed the rest out. It wasn’t even enjoyable enough to bother eating.
If you’re listening Marco’s top management…
get your act together and go back to the delicious pizza recipe you used to serve or I doubt the chain will remain in business very long. Dominos is better and less expensive.
And Marco’s used to be in a whole different league than Domino’s.
