The restaurant sits on the second floor within the Leonardo hotel and can be accessed through the main lobby.
The dining room is rather dark in the evening, making the menu hard to read in the poor lighting. The design of the menu with finely printed fonts doesn’t help either.
There is an offer on the menu that’s hard to read because it’s highlighted in gold writing lthat details a mid-week offer (Tuesday to Thursday) for two selected courses for £20.
However, once you’ve selected your meal choice, it arrives in good time and is expertly cooked. The starter was a Scot h egg that was a delight to eat; full of flavour and hints of black pudding with a mustard sauce to provide some kick.
The house red is a great partner to the mixed grill with was simply delicious. I particularly liked the pairing with the creamed spinach that elevated the dish.

We had the pleasure of being served by our lovely waiter Digambar when we visited the restaurant this evening. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly friendly, polite, and professional.
He made us feel so welcome and the food was great. It’s not often you come across genuine customer service.

We had a good meal here but it wasn’t amazing. The staff were polite and attentive but did feel a little inexperienced at times.
The food was good quality but I felt the steak I ordered was not perfectly cooked.
The atmosphere was a little flat but perhaps that was because it was not particularly busy.

Food is not bad… but there was some mis communication. I asked cook more a slice of meat but they brought me back low quality of it. I mean not exactly same meat.
Even the staff was not professional, hopefully there will be better service.

I ordered a sirloin medium rare and received a rare fillet steak, plus not seasoned when cooking. Waitress insisted it was medium rare and a sirloin, agreed to cook more but still very chewy. Worse steak of my life, very disappointed. Meat cheep quality and do not know how to cook it.calamari ok, scotch egg ok, ravioli again lacked seasoning.

Third time, still medium in the middle, but rested!
Walked away, there are plenty of other hotel restaurants, and restaurants that can cook a steak well done, correctly .

Had dinner with family here in October. Two diners had steak with king prawns. Very disappointing! Steak was 6oz of sirloin with two shrimp the size of my little finger. At least the chips were good, but £35 for good chips is a bit of a reach. Obviously, Marco hasnt been here in a very, very long time.

I’m afraid this is why we drive past pubs and restaurants these days they tend to be expensive and not very good. Fish and chips over £20 should not be soggy and skin left on a thin piece of fish.

Every cut of steak except the fillet was unavailable to order by 7:30pm on a Saturday. Marked as a birthday celebration and although it was acknowledged when we arrived no effort was made during the meal or at dessert. Expensive, poor quality and would not return or recommend.

We would just like to thank Diana who was fantastic. We didn’t have the best meal but she made up for it with incredible service. Our first steak was well done and the second was blue, not the medium we had ordered. Things go wrong and we understand that. Thank you!
