I had an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely outstanding. My steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. This is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-quality meal and great service!

Dining at Steak House Marcel in Atlanta was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is very romantic — dim lighting, beautiful photos on the walls, and a warm, elegant vibe that makes it perfect for a special night out.
Our waiter was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the different types of steak and how they’re preserved, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We shared the Côte de Boeuf dry-aged ribeye, and it was absolutely delicious, tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The house mashed potatoes were rich and cheesy and paired so well with the steak. Our starter was great too, and we finished with the chocolate layer cake, which was rich and indulgent.

Our neighbors and friends have been recommending Marcel for years, so we finally decided to try it for a date night last month (11/15). Unfortunately, the experience was very underwhelming. We arrived for our 5:00 PM reservation and were seated promptly, which we appreciated. However, the seating was extremely tight, and we were placed next to a young couple who talked loudly and drank throughout the evening. The overall atmosphere felt loud, crowded, and surprisingly casual—not intimate or refined, which was disappointing given Marcel’s reputation and price point. As for the food, the veal parmesan was dry. When I mentioned this to our server, he noted that extra sauce could have been provided—which, frankly, should have been done automatically. Extra sauce was included in our to-go bag, and when we tried the dish again at home, it didn’t change our opinion. It was average at best and lacked the quality we expected. The steak was good, but not exceptional. The Salad Marcel was a miss for me—far too much celery, to the point that it overwhelmed the dish entirely. The sides were also very average. On a positive note, the desserts and cocktails were enjoyable.
Overall, we’ve had far better dining experiences elsewhere. For the price, we expected something memorable, especially for a date night. We value our time and experiences together, and this visit simply fell flat.

What a great night! Everyone here was professional and eager to answer all of the questions that we had. They were able to make any modifications or substitutions that we needed to the menu as well. The only thing that I didn’t like is that they were out of lamb but we did kind of come towards the end of the night so definitely understandable and no reason to take a star away.
The food was PERFECT! This was my first time having caviar and they made it a wonderful experience. There was so much food and well worth the money. Thank you Marcel for making the night one to remember.

Marcel’s Steakhouse is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the exceptional service made us feel like VIPs—attentive, knowledgeable staff who anticipated our every need without being intrusive. The low-light atmosphere creates such a cozy, intimate vibe, perfect for a special night out.We started with the French onion soup, which is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful broth with perfectly caramelized onions and gooey cheese. The salads were fresh and crisp, setting the stage for the main event: the steaks. Our porterhouse and fillet were cooked to perfection, juicy and bursting with flavor. The scallops were tender and seared just right, and all the sides complemented everything beautifully with their spot-on preparation and beautiful presentation.To top it all off, we indulged in desserts—the Alaskan was decadent and refreshing, while the crème brûlée is a must-have with its creamy custard and perfectly caramelized top. This wasn’t our first visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. If you’re craving top-tier steaks in a welcoming setting, Marcel’s is the place to go! They alao have Gluten-Free options avaliable.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate my birthday a few weeks ago. The decor inside is incredible, we loved all the vintage boxing/fencing decor and the ambient lighting. We sat at the bar while we waited for our reservation and had a delicious dirty martini and espresso martini. They presented us at our table with a stamped “happy birthday” menu which I thought was such a thoughtful touch! Our appetizer of Caesar salad (prepared by our server) and shrimp cocktail was amazing and the bread service was unique and delicious. For dinner my boyfriend had a filet and I had the lobster risotto with scallops added. We had to save some room for dessert, which was crème brûlée and baked Alaska which is set aflame at the table. Everything was delicious!! Our serving team was Yancy and Kenn and they both did a great job taking care of us. Kenn even offered us some great recommendations for the rest of our trip, which we ended up actually doing and it really was the cherry on top of our visit. We can’t wait to come back to Marcel next time we are in Atlanta.

Visited Marcel for my 35th birthday. The Atmosphere reminded me of a restaurant we’ve visited in Paris. This is always a plus because who wouldn’t want a Parisian feel in Atlanta. Our service was great. The Caesar salad was made fresh. The combination of the hand made dressing, romaine and fresh peppercorn on top blended so well. Our steak was tender and full of flavor. We will definitely return to Marcel

I’ve been here many times and have probably ordered and tasted almost every item on the menu. I’ve always loved their bread and tea service. This time, we ordered a variety of dishes — the beef Wellington, steaks, several sides, and appetizers. Unfortunately, the lobster risotto was extremely salty and almost inedible, and the ribs we requested medium-rare came out well-done. Overall, the experience felt overpriced for the quality. After this last visit, I think I’m officially over Marcel.

What a pleasant experience we had for dinner. We are in Atlanta regularly and never been here so decided to get a reservation a couple weeks out. The food is fantastic and the wait staff is phenomenal. I will definitely return. Side note order your BEEF WELLINGTON 24hrs in advance or you won’t get it.

I’ve been to Marcel a few times. Service was incredible and every single dish we received was amazing. The servers did a fantastic job coursing our meal out so we didn’t feel rushed. Atmosphere, food, drinks, & service were all 10/10. One of the best dinners Ive had. Highly recommend!
