I’ve been here many times before spanning decades. I visited this past weekend with my mom. I retired the day before, so this was a special occasion. The bread and salad were as I remembered, very good. My mom ordered a cup of fish stew and that was very good. When they brought her broiled seafood platter, I immediately noticed it looked overcooked. The clams casino was burnt black. The fish was dry and stuck to the metal plate. The shrimp were too salty. I had ordered surf and turf. I requested the filet mignon medium rare. It was medium well. Although it had a decent flavor, it was dry. The lobster was even off. It had a weird mushy texture and didn’t taste like any lobster I ever had. I never left lobster meat on the plate before but I did this serving. About this time the manager visited our table inquiring about our satisfaction. I pointed out the issues. He agreed and offered 50% off the bill plus free dessert and coffee. Not a horrible gesture, but the damage was done. I understand accidents can happen in the kitchen but how a high end meal of such poor quality could make it out to our table is beyond me. If I ever return, it will be out of curiosity to see if it still sucks, not a go to for a fine meal.

As someone who was born and raised in Hammonton, I’ve always believed it had the best Maplewood location. After dining at the Vineland location- it’s safe to say I was wrong. Everything was great- just as I’ve always known it to be since I was a kid BUT better. If you have room for dessert- make sure you get whatever pie they have seasonally (peach pie was to die for.)

After dining several times at Maplewood in Vineland I can say that the food is pretty good. My only issue is how much they cram people in there. It makes it very difficult to have a romantic meal when the next table is right on top of you. While we waited for our reservation, we waited at the bar and it was a lot more private and less cramped there. Service has always been very good. They don’t try and rush you. The prices are a little on the higher side, but that’s what you get for a better quality product and service. Not my favorite restaurant, but great place for a good meal.

It’s a great little place! Bartenders are very friendy and make a nice drink! We had dinner at the bar. And met some very nice people! Food was great and so was the cocktails! It’s was pretty busy luckily we found some seats! I would like to come here again!

We love the Maplewood and the service is always very good and consistent. Usually for 25 years coming here food is excellent. Could there be a new change in the culinary staff? Tonite something seemed off as if there’s a new cook. The salad was very heavy with vinegar and our meals were not the usual high quality, smaller portions ok but at high prices we expect better. The stuffed shrimp with crab was too salty and shrimp scampi just didn’t taste the same. Will take a break hopefully in a few months it will get back to normal if this is just a hiccup of a different cook. Service was excellent though.

About a month ago six of us had a wonderful dinner there. Everyone’s food was good and plentiful. My wife and I were celebrating our 68th wedding anniversary so I made reservations. We are both handicapped and needed to use their handicapped entrance. There is a push button near the handicapped entrance to alert someone to open the door. Evidently it didn’t work. Luckily, a patron came out the door for a smoke and we were able to get in. No one was there to seat us however a busboy got someone. We were seated but had to wait some time before a server attended to us. Things went down from there. I ordered an Old Fashioned which turned out to be the worst one I ever had. My wife ordered a filet mignon and I ordered muscles. Both dinners were tasteless. We were very disappointed. Guess we’ll have to rethink about going back there. We knew their meal prices are on the high side but we don’t mind paying their price but expect their food to be commensurate.

We had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner at the Maplewood. Although we had a fairly large group (7) Gavin gave us great service and even though he was busy, he came back several times to see if we needed anything. Everyone loved there dinners; they came in a timely manner and were piping hot. Thanks for giving us such an enjoyable evening.

Sorry to say 1st and last time here . Staff amazing, friendly. Atmosphere was dingy and very dated , slight smell of dirty water in the air. Ceilings and vents were dirty . I had the shrimp and home made spaghetti. Sauce had no taste and the spaghetti was definitely not fresh . My husband had veal parmesan and homemade spaghetti. He said the same thing, no taste not fresh. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria it was okay . and the bread was good . Maybe a good deep clean and update .

The chicken marsala had tender pieces but the sauce was a little too salty. Garlic bread came out hot and buttery. Dining room felt old-school with wood paneling and hanging plants.
