I tried the signature Five & Dime biscuit sandwich today, and it was excellent. It includes breaded chicken, bacon, an egg (I chose sunny-side up), and mushroom gravy. The biscuits were crumbly and moist, and the chicken, along with the other proteins, enhanced the sandwich’s flavor. This is a counter-service restaurant, and the server brings your order to the table. The server was very friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes. You also get free refills with coffee or soft drinks. It’s a great spot for breakfast or brunch.

Fresh home made from scratch buttermilk biscuits. These are faaaar from little pillsbury doughboy biscuits. Nice crisp bite, not doughy at all in the middle. They literally blew me away! I got the power bowl, I opted out of the bacon and got steak instead. Highly highly recommend the SQUAWKING GOAT chicken biscuit sandwich you see here in the photo. Whoaaa just whoaaaa very reasonable price for the amount of food we ordered! This place is a Big “ W “

Wow, amazing chicken and biscuit for a non-southern restaurant! The biscuit was hot, moist and had a flaky crust. The chicken was well seasoned and tender. Just needed some aunt jemima syrup. Service was good.

Nice clean restaurant.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful!

We ordered Chicken and Waffles.

It was delicious!

Plus, they also sold us a half dozen of their Biscuits to go, which I still haven’t tried yet, but I heard they’re exquisite!

We’ll be visiting this location again in the future!

Got the Squawking Goat which was flames. I just love goat cheese so I knew Id love this. And the pepper jelly was super interesting. Chicken was great and biscuit itself was so creamy and yum.

I think they were having a off day as my chicken was pretty burnt, was a tad over cooked but every other time we came here it was perfect. Love this place and the crew is very friendly. The sausage gravy is amazing, literally dip everything in it.

We loved the food, nice new concept. Dnt think it’s never a good idea to prepare food with old grease, mind you around noon.

Although the food was very good, some of the best flavor sausage gravy, it is the biscuit version of McDonalds. A drone taking your order, who also makes your coffee drinks. Had a cappuccino that was half full in the cup. No, the milk foam only came halfway up the Togo cup it was dispensed into. Order came up, my name was called, and that was the extent of customer interaction. You order, your name is called, you go pick it up. Oh and you bus your own table into an almost overflowing ‘cow trough’. They all but have a bleach bucket with a rag sitting there so you can wipe down your own spot, as there were multiple unwiped tables. Oh yes, when you pay with credit card there is the inevitable ‘tip prompt’. I gave an outlandish tip to the server/busser – ME.

Some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. I don’t normally eat such things but because the food looked so good, I had to try it. Tasty even the second day. Food was delicious.

There’s a lot to like here, but the main draw — the biscuits — are the biggest disappointment.

I tried a Squawking Goat recently and was mostly impressed. The fried chicken breast was tender and juicy but nowhere near the size depicted on the company’s website. The creamy smooth goat cheese was a nice contrast to the bite of the pepper jelly, too. The biscuit, however, was a bit of a letdown. I know they make them regularly and in small batches so they should always be fresh but mine was kind of stale and hard, and lacked moisture or a buttery zing that a good southern style biscuit has.

A dining companion had the “Extreme Biscuits and Gravy” with bacon and it too featured dry, hard biscuits. The peppery sausage gravy was thick, creamy and delicious, though. The eggs and bacon were just okay, too. Nothing bad, but nothing to justify the prices charged.

Easily the most disappointing thing I tried, though, were the Smashbrowns. The two pieces I received were greasy and burnt, negating any good flavor from the creamy potato interior bits. The ranch dipping sauce couldn’t save these things.

Ending on a positive note, I’ll say that the workers at this location were all really nice and pleasant to deal with, which was nice as I’d never been to one of these before.

Overall, it was a nice experience, but not worth it for the cost (or calories!) to eat on a regular basis.
