Wonderful experience eating while visiting from Boston. This is a must try while in Vermont.

Everything we tried was delicious – elevated and home cooking esque all at the same. DO NOT SKIP THE CORNBREAD. (We tried the cornbread, mizo black sea bass, steak tips, and maple creme brulee)

Ambiance is warm and inviting, and the chef owners are great hosts.
Exactly what we wanted after a long day.

Recommend getting a reservation (at least for a Saturday night)

Definitely recommend going, and making a reservation! The food was amazing! We ordered the maple chili wings, amazing!!! I had the grits with shrimp and mac and cheese . My husband had the burger he really enjoyed it and for dessert we regretfully shared the maple creme brulee. If you are looking to feel the love in the food then this is the place. The owners are very welcoming as well. Loved the vibe of the staff, they were very welcoming as well. Such a great restaurant, will definitely visit again on another Vermont trip.

We’ve never had a bad meal here! The service is fantastic, the food is always delicious and the menu changes based on what’s in season. This has to be, hands down, one of my favorite restaurants.

New favorite dinner place. Rochester is a small quaint town surrounded by farmlands in each direction. Maple soul is a pleasant and romantic venue. We ate on the porch of what seemed to be a home converted into restaurant. Arriving as the sun was setting on a perfectly warm yet breezy evening. Our waiter had our order in almost as soon as we sat down despite it being a busy night.
We got out drinks and enjoyed the view of the mountains and sunset across from us. Beautiful spot and excellent food. Good size portions and desserts !
Will definitely be coming back and I’ve been craving their food. See for yourself !

Great food. Great service. Must have if you’re in or passing thru Rochester Vermont ! Updated: the best cornbread in the United States of America lives here. All their food is honestly amazing. My first review didn’t do this place Justice, this place could hold its own in any city anywhere. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Also the wings are amazing, and the cheesecake will have your mouthwatering. This place is so good it made me mad, because I can only have it once or twice a year.

I’d come to Rochester again just to try different menu items. My husband and I were visiting from Texas & love all things fresh and local food. We don’t typically drink, so we had one of the botanical drinks & it was delicious. He had the ribs (and count us Texans impressed) & I had the fish and chips. The ribs were tender with great chew & the sauce was really balanced. The coleslaw (which I normally hate) was fresh, crisp, and refreshing! The French fries were the perfect size, seasoned well, and came with a delicious dipping sauce. My fish was fresh, crispy – although don’t be like me and put lemon on it too soon, I ruined the crunch – but I was still so happy

We finished off with a maple creme brulee which was creamy, not too sweet, and just enough to spilt after a great meal.

All waitstaff was really kind & helpful, we even got to chat with the chef. Was a great experience, thank you!

The staff at Maple Soul were very friendly and accommodating. Our server Olivia was very knowledgeable about the wine and food menus. She was also attentive and personable.
The food is very delicious. My wife had the Blackened Ahi Tuna appetizer and I had the Roasted Beets and Goat cheese.
For entries, my wife and I both had the Shrimp and Grits. The portions were large, the grits were flavorful, and the amount of shrimp was generous. The restaurant is in a quaint, small town and the eating environment is comfortable without being noisy.
We highly recommend Maple Soul and look forward to dining there again.

Stayed in Rochester for a ski trip and Maple Soul was right down the road. I don’t know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn’t to be transported to another world when I tasted my food. Everything was perfection. Started with the corn bread and muscles for appetizers. The corn bread is like a warm hug from your grandma. I hate that I had to share it with the table. The muscles were hands down the most delicious muscles I have ever had. Tender, full of garlic and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that they didn’t serve it with a straw to drink the juices when the muscles are gone. Maybe bring your own loaf of bread if you plan on getting this because it’s a crime to let those juices go to waste. For entrée we got the bacon wrapped meatloaf, the pork chop, and shrimp and grits. I’m sure you can guess by now that all 3 of these dishes were incredible. The meatloaf was moist and flavorful, the pork chop was the most juicy and delicious I’ve ever had. Pork chops can be very easily overcooked and ruin a meal, but they know exactly what they are doing here. The shrimp and grits was fantastic. It was also a huge portion and I felt like I could barely make a dent in it. It made for excellent leftovers with a fried egg on top the next day (shoutout to our server Caitlyn for the recommendation on that and for being so friendly and putting up with me and all of my gushing about the food!!). We finished it off with the maple crème brûlée and it was of course incredible. I highly recommend you make it a point to stop here. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Had the wagyu meatloaf, gnocchi with added chicken and goat cheese, maple ribs, wings, beet salad and cornbread. Every dish was perfectly executed and every bite was fantastic. Service was A+, our waiter Sam was super attentive and personable (I certainly wouldn’t have been to a table of 5 showing up half an hour before closing!) Cozy atmosphere that felt intimate but not crowded. Can’t wait to be back in the area specifically to visit again. This place doesn’t disappoint!

Great place for a nice dinner! Everything we ordered was delicious. Pictured are the calamari, grilled cornbread with honey, burrata with nectarines (or maybe they were peaches?), and the creme brûlée, which were all very tasty. Tragically not pictured is the best part of the meal, the ricotta gnocchi, which came in a parmesan cream sauce that was so rich and delicious. There were so many things on the menu that looked good that we didn’t have the chance to try, and we will definitely make the drive back sometime.
